As we approach for more warmer and sunny days, finding a good sunscreen to cover out skin from harsh UVA/UVB with a good texture becomes a bit challenging. This post will cover every thing you need to know about SPF products and sunscreens that are designed for complexion as well as how to layer them and this would take you easily from day to night.
Most of the complexion products do come in with some SPF levels (15 -25) that is good enough to cover you during the fall/winter time where there is less sun exposure and for almost two hours after application. But for summer sunny days you at least need SPF 30 – 50 to really block the harsh rays that hits skin directly. There are quite many that my skin react to with a slightly small red pumps. Its a lightweight moisturizer that not only protects the skin from sun and environmental exposure it also have brightening and hydrating effect on skin and some thing that I love about this formula is that the La Prairie-exclusive Smart Crystal White Complex repairs past sun damage. You can really replace your moisturizer with this one on super hot and humid days. The formula is non creasy and literally adds a nice glow on skin while it makes a perfect base for your makeup.
- Cle de Peau Beaute UV Protective Emulsion Very High Protection for Body Broad Spectrum SPF 50+ Sunscreen (C$118) is one of my favorite formulas that I absolutely love, it feels super light plus its water-resistant that will cover you for up to 80 minutes, perfect for those beach or pool days. Its formulated with innovative anti-pollution ingredients and an extraordinary protective veil that guards your skin from sun exposure. Its also contains hyaluronic acid which provides moisturizing benefits. Keeping in mind that since it carries a super light and milky texture you need to shake it before use.
- Murad Oil and Pore Control Mattifier Broad Spectrum SPF 45 (C$55.00) is an oil free and lightweight moisturizer that works on minimizing the appearance of pores as well as controls skin’s oiliness and shine. Its designed for all skin textures especially those with oily skin. It feels super soft and have lotion feel like texture. It carries a good amount of SPF that is perfect to start your day with and the formula is very clean.
- Eve Lom Daily Protection SPF 50 (C$75.00) is a super lightweight and amazing formula that brightens and hydrates skin. Its suitable for all skin textures.

- Dior Capture Dreamskin Fresh & Perfect Cushion is one of my favorite formulas. Its sheer coverage that offers a no makeup look with dewy finish while it blurs off any fine lines and wrinkles. You can easily carry it out in your bag for reapplication.
- Sulwhasoo Perfecting Cushion EX SPF 50+ (C$85.00) is a nice sheer to medium coverage foundation that cover imperfections and offers a nice natural look. The lasting power is quite amazing and can make a nice base for your foundation.
