Charlotte Tilbury | Super Nudes Collection

Charlotte just launched her now Super Nudes Collection for this season to offers a nice fall-inspired colour-coded collection. My eyes were rolling around this collection since its launch date and finally, I was able to get my hands on them. The collection is covers everything you need for a perfect nude day and night look. When it comes to Charlotte Tilbury’s beauty products she knows how to create nude and glowy products to enhance all skin tones. Here how the collection looks like:

Super Nudes Nudegasm Bronze

This is a limited edition complexion palette that features four beautiful shades with different textures. This palette is all you need to contour, highlight and add colour to your face including your eyes to complete the look. If you’re familiar with Charlotte’s beauty products then you know her complexion palettes are always well designed for all skin tones and textures and they perform quite amazingly.

The palette contains:

  • Super Glow is a soft champagne gold with shimmers which makes it perfect to highlight. The finish is subtle yet gives skin a nice noticable glow.
  • Multi Glow is a nice golden peach with satin finish is gives enough color to the cheeks for nice nude look – you may notice a subtle color on cheeks.
  • Soft Sculpt is a nice sandy taupe shade in matte finish is nice to add warmth to the entire face but carries enough pigment to add it all over the complexion for a bronzed look. I love to use this on my eyes to give them a nice warmth and bring the entire look togather.
  • Super Sculpt is a rich umber shade that carries cooler undertone and is perfect to sculpt the face without turning orange and comes in matte finish.

This is one complexion palette you need to create a perfect sculpted & glowy look. I love how there are both warmer and cooler tone bronzers to add warmth and sculpt complexion without turning orange. The packaging is just on point with big mirror compact and large panes to easily use bigger brushes.

Super Nudes Easy Eye palette

This mini neutral eyeshadow palette has been re-launched as it was introduced in her Holiday 2020 collection but unfortunately, I haven’t had discovered it at that time. As a neutral eye makeup lover, I find this is a perfect eyeshadow palette that carries all warm and cool neutral shades to create many different warm and cool makeup looks day and night. I would say a must-have palette if you are someone like me who likes to play around with the neutral shades more often and on daily basis. I have been playing around with his palette for these two weeks and I can say that it’s that one on-the-go palette that you need to create nice soft and sultry smokey eyes.

The formula is just on point with a buttery soft texture with an amazing texture that I haven’t had tested before. I also find the shades blend and layer well with each other regardless of which shade you use.

Charlotte has designed this palette to create two different neutral smokey eye looks for day and night which I am really impressed with its selection of shades.
The entire palette comes in a matte finish but the texture is very silky and smooth. It’s probably the best matte formula with amazing pigment offering and fewer to no fallouts.

The Super Nudes Duo Liner

To finish eyes she launched a creamy matte eyeliner that is designed to enhance eyes with deep chocolate brown and awaken the look with nude shade on the waterline. I love the double-ended liner with this kinda combination. The formula is creamy and stays in input for a good amount of time. I have been loving the brown liner look for the past year and this one is definitely something I will be reaching out to create my looks, especially the smokey eye looks.

Super Nudes Collection Matte Revolution Lipstick

wearing Runway Royalty

I am a true Matte Revolution Lipstick lover + nude lipstick lover and if you fit in these two categories then you need to look at these. Charlotte launches a great selection of Nudes – four shades in her famous Matte Revolution formula and one in K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick formula. I have a great selection of her lipsticks yet I feel like this is a collection that carries perfect nudes with different undertones to cover all skin tones, you can find the comparison swatches of Hot Lips 2 here, and here. Finding that perfect shade isn’t easy to find but here I am sure you can find the one that would complement your skin ton.

Cover Star

This is a muted apricot shade with slightly cooler tones. This is what I love to wear when I love to wear a light nude shade but you need to bring it to life by defining it with your favourite nude lip pencil liner that goes well with your complexion.

Catwalk

This is a nice neutral peach shade that you can wear easily for your everyday wear anything of the year with nice warm undertones. You definitely don’t need to add definition to this colour since it brings the entire look together once applied.

Supemodel

This is a mid-muted rose shade that is the perfect mauve neutral for night looks. It carries that warm rose tone.

Super Fabulous

This is a nice deep rosewood brown and I find this a perfect brown nude for the fall season. The tones are warm and enhance all skin tones very well.

Runway Royalty

This one comes in the K.I.S.S.I.N.G formula one of my favourite shades from the collection. This is a nice neutral pink with warm undertones and exclusive to CharlotteTilbury.com. I love to pair it with a Lip Cheat liner in Pillow Talk.

Have you tied the collection yet? I think this collection is fabulous especially if you’re some who loves to wear nude shades like me. It’s a collection that is perfect all year long – wearable and performs incredibly on all skin tones and textures. You can shop her Nude Collection below and the entire collection is available at Charlotte Tilbury’s counters.

Laura Mercier | Translucent Loose Setting Powder Light Catcher

Laura Mercier extended her award-winning loose setting powder collection with Translucent Loose Setting Powder Light Catcher (C$51.00 for 1 oz/ 29 g). I received them as press samples but I had my eyes on them once they were released. Powders don’t work great on my skin but there are quite a few that I use to set my foundation and Laura Mercier’s Loose powder is one of them. I was excited to find the new collection for its radiant finish as I love the dewy and glowy skin look.

Translucent Loose Setting Powder Light Catcher has a soft blurring effect on skin with a light tint that can be matched to your skin easily that helps demolish any imperfections on the skin and is infused with a blend of skin tone-contrasting and correcting pearls that offer skin that flawless luminous look that looks natural.
The collection is offered in three shades to cover all skin tones:

  • Celestial Light is a champagne beige shade desinged for fair to light skin tones
  • Honey Star is a golden peach shade desinged for medium skin tones
  • Cosmic Rose is a bronzed rose shade desinged for medium-deep to deep skin tones

It’s not your regular setting powder, it carries a very noticeable glow but is not too frosty. So you may only use it to the places where you want to glow yet I wouldn’t recommend set under-eye area or experiment with the baking method. I can use either #1 or #2 to set my foundation depending on how tan my skin is as well as I have been using it to add dimension to my overall look and I am beyond obsessed with its finish. Yet Cosmic Rose #3 is too dark for my skin.

I love to dust it all over my face especially the parts I want to add warmth with #2 and highlight areas such as my tip of the nose, forehead temples and top of the cheeks with #1, the finish is buildable so you can lightly dust all over the complexion for a natural glow or using a sponge tip or detailed brush you can layer it for an exceptional glow – either way, the finish is flawless and radiant. The powder itself is weightless so doesn’t add texture to the skin. As many know I love to use products within the brand range so I have been wearing to test this powder with Laura Mercier’s Flawless Lumière Radiance-Perfecting Foundation (reviewed here) which is one of my all-time favourite foundations for a dewy and flawless finish and applies the best with the Powder Brush. The lasting power is very good and it stays put well for a good amount of time.

I have shared the entire look below that contains my favourite products from Laura Mercier.

Makeup Details:

The Perfect Cream Multi-Tasking Eye Moisturizer to prep under-eye area
Flawless Lumiere Radiance Perfecting FoundationFoundation in Cashew 2N1
Blush Color Infusion in Bellini
Secret Camouflage Concealer Duo Stick in 2W
Velour Extreme Matte Lipstick in Fresh

I haven’t had tested or experienced any other light-catching loose powder before or at least I don’t recall one. But I have been loving this formula as it adds that extra glow I like.
Bottom line I am in love with this new Translucent Loose Setting Powder Light Catcher. I love the finish and how it sets the foundation in place with a nice subtle dewy glow. The colour barely shows on the skin but it evens out the skin and I really like that it gives a sheer, natural finish but is not visible. You can now find them at Sephora, Shoppers Drugmart, Hudson’s Bay and Lauramercier.ca.

Lawless Conseal The Deal Long-Wear Full-Coverage Foundation + Glam Guard Long-Wear Setting Spray

Finding new brands and testing new formulas is something that brings excitement to me especially when I get to get impressed within its first application. I just discovered Lawless which is a new beauty brand to me and I have been testing their new base Foundation + Setting Spray which I’ve fallen in love with them immediately.

Conseal The Deal Long-Wear Full-Coverage Foundation

This is a long-wearing (I really mean long-wearing) liquid foundation with a fluid lightweight texture that finishes skin flawlessly with a natural and semi-matte finish. It has a medium but buildable coverage texture that looks like just skin. The formula is clean vegan and silicone-free and comes with a great range of colour selections with different undertones. You need to keep in mind that the foundation needs a good shake before application. I was sent out 3 shades from the brand to match my skin and I am completely impressed with their shade range that covers from lightest to deepest skin tones.
The foundation has a good movement time to spread all over the complexion but once it’s set it really sets in place.

The formula is designed for all skin textures which I absolutely agree with. I have dry skin but well hydrated and it has performed quite well while I have been hearing from my beauty blogger friends who have oily skin and have been impressed with its finish and texture on their skin. Here are the close swatches of the foundation in 3 shades:

  • Dune is a  medium shade with warm peach undertones
  • Sesame is a light-medium shade with neutral undertones
  • Meringue is a very fair shade with pink undertones

Although the shades weren’t matching my skin exactly, yet I was able to wear the shade Dune which might be matched better during the wintertime once my tan is gone. The foundation doesn’t set into the fine lines or wrinkles nor it emphasizes the pores. The lasting power is quite impressive by itself but I was shocked at how the Glam Guard Setting spray makes this foundation look smoother, and locks the foundation in place all day long.

Lawless Conceal the Deal Foundation in Dune
It Cosmetics Brow Power Filler Volumizing Tinted Fiber Eyebrow Gel in brunet
Sweet Peach eye shadow palette
Estee Lauder Little Black Liner
Lancome Lash Idole Mascara
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette Volume II
Lawless Glam Guard Long-Wear Setting Spray

I was also sent out their Foundation Brush which has worked incredibly well with the foundation itself. The foundation brush is exclusively available online at Lawlessbeauty.com. It carries that perfect dome-round shape to spread the foundation evenly all over the complexion and reach the hardest part of the face. It offers the foundation a nice flawless finish with an airbrush effect. It tried applying the foundation with different application methods yet find that using a dome or flat brush finishes the foundation nicely on the skin compared to using fingertips or sponges.

Glam Guard Long-Wear Setting Spray

As many of my readers know I most of the time set my foundation with a setting spray and I am always on the hunt for better formulas as they give me that nice glowing and clean finish without bringing more attention to my fine lines. I was shocked in the first place to see this setting spray set my foundation in place immediately + finishes my skin like a barbie doll smooth, poreless and visibly finishes skin flawless. It definitely makes any foundation last all day long. I’ve been wearing this setting spray for the past two weeks with all other foundations and I’m speechless on how incredible this setting spray works on all foundations. It does have a slightly strong scent that may not be pleasant for many depending on their preference but I was able to wear it almost every day.

Bottom line I am very impressed with the beauty products overall. The foundation is lightweight and perfect for everyday wear with good lasting power. I have been reaching out most of the days for the foundation for its nice performance for my daily looks and flawless finish + knowing that the formula is clean makes me feel better to wear foundation on daily basis. I think the setting spray is just a must-have product, especially for the price tag. It’s finished skin flawless and it really works well with the Conseal The Deal Foundation. You can find them online at Sephora.ca and Lawlessbeauty.com.
