Loving Right Now | Everyday Makeup Products

As a beauty blogger, I get to test and try quite a lot of beauty products while only some become my stables. Here I am sharing my true + tested daily go-to picks for my everyday makeup looks. I have a very natural every day looks that I like to create to look put togather. This post will carry some of the new formulas + some of the all-time favourite formulas that I still use.

Base + Foundation

While I do wear makeup almost every day, I try to wear a multi-tasking basis that does everything I need to cover my imperfections. I am a natural beauty lover for an everyday look so I have few bases that give me some coverage + the skincare products I need for the day. The Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer has been my ultimate on-the-go base for an everyday look. It’s lightweight, evens out my skin while it looks natural and radiant. Recently the new Estee Lauder Foundation become another favourite at moment, especially when I need more coverage. I wear it when I am going out, it gives me a nice dewy finish and it’s perfect base for the dryer months if you have a dry skin. For days I want glow + foundation I have been reaching out to the new Givenchy Prisme Libre Skin-Caring Glow Foundation that offers a gorgeous finish. It looks natural yet looks seemless on skin. When it comes to concealer the Nars Soft matte Concealer and Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer are my best friends.

Being a mom of 3 lovely kids a corrector plays a huge role in my overall look, especially for my under-eye area. Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Camouflage Color Concealer in bisque is one formula that I can’t replace with another corrector + Charlotte Tilbury Magic Vanish Color Corrector in the fair is my favourite formula for an everyday look for the fact that it applies and blends easily. The new Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage Correct and Brighten Concealer Duo Stick is easy to apply all in one corrector and concealer that does require a good skin prep but once its applied it doesn’t move or smudge at all.

Blush, Bronzer & Highlighter

To add a nice colour all over my skin I love the Nars Matte Bronzer Powder in Laguna+ the Charlotte Tilbury’s Airbrush Bronzer in Medium. They both have enough warmth for my skin that doesn’t turn orange. YSL beauty’s Touche Éclat Shimmer Stick + Charlotte Tillbury Beauty Highlighter Wand are the stable products I like to add glow to specific areas of my face. Meanwhile, I just got my hands on the Merit Glowing Stick in Canva which gives a nice champaing glow that I am obsessed with for a clean everyday look.

Eye Makeup

My eye makeup looks for every day is very simple, I look for lava brown shade to add some warmth to my eyes. The Dior Beauty’s 5 Couleurs Couture Eyeshadow Palette in Hypnotize (discontinued but Mitzah is a very comparable current palette) + Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Flawless Filter Luxury Eyeshadow Palette in Diva Light are my current favourite palettes. Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette from Too Faced is one of the all-time favourite palettes that I can reach out to most of the time and the most used shades are Peach’N Cream + Detectable for an easy soft smokey look. Charlotte Tilbury’s Eyes To Mesmerize Cream Eyeshadow + Giorgio Armani Eye Tint Long-Lasting Liquid Eyeshadow formulas are my all-time favourite when I want that soft gold bronzy look.

I love to line my eyes with Nars High-Pigment Longwear Eyeliner + Shiseido’s Kajal Ink Artist Shadow. A decent but not too dramatic lash mascaras, I have been loving the new bareMinerals Strength & Length Serum-Infused Mascara + Bite Beauty’s Upswing Full Volume Mascara formula since they are both formulated with clean ingredients. My time favourite Mascara is from Dior which I find discontinued and it gives a nice clean look to my lashes that I love to wear.

This season I have been loving the brush out brow look and the two formulas that have impressed me the most are the It Cosmetic’s Brow Power Filler Volumizing Tinted Fiber Eyebrow Gel in Dark Brunet (I would suggest picking darker) + Merit Brow 1980 Volumizing Eyebrow Pomade Gel in Brown. I have also been loving the bareMinerals Strength & Length Serum-Infused Brow Gel to set my brows and it comes in the tinted formula as well. Dior – Diorshow Pump ‘N’ Brow is my all-time favourite brow product.

Everyday Lip Formulas

I am a minimalist when it comes to lip products. I like something to give my lips a nice soft colour + some shine for my everyday look. Dior Addict Lip Glow + Ysl Rouge Volupté Shine Lipstick Balms are the two formulas I continuously use to keep my lips well hydrated and add some colour. Few new lightweight formulas I have been loving includes:

Guerlain KissKiss Shine Bloom Lipstick Balm in Love Bloom is a nice bright coral red, DiorAddict Stellar Shine Lipstick in Diormoon which is a nice pink taupe, Estee Lauder Pure Color Illuminating Shine Lipstick in Imaginary is a nice soft peachy nude, and Charlotte Tilbury’s Superstar Lips Lipstick in Pillow Talk. Artist Color Pencil Eye, Lip & Brow Pencil from Makeup for Ever is one of my favourite formulas in Completely Sepia, as well as a couple of my, must have jumbo lipsticks that takes me everywhere are the Laura Mercier Velour Extreme Matte Lipstick in Fresh + Burberry Lip Colour Contour in Medium. I will have a full post on some of my favourite lip combos coming in next.

Luxury Gift Guide for Mother’s Day

As Mother’s day is approaching, this year I had in my mind to get my mother a nice SPA time with me along with some fresh flowers and a date night as I think she would be happier. But as we’re under a lockdown and stay home order, things look different but here I have a round-up of some Luxury Gift Ideas for you!

  • Fragrance gifting is luxurious but can be tricky because it is very personal. I find Aerin makes the most feminine scents that any woman would love to have in their collection. Aerin Ikat Jasmine is a very classic fresh floral scent with key notes of Tuberose Fleur, Jasmine Egypt Infusion, Honeysuckle. It’s a fragrance that can be layered easily with all other scents to make it your own.
  • Makeup gifting is another tricky one but if you know your mother especially knows what makeup or colours she likes then there will be ease. Guerlain just introduces their KissKiss Shine Bloom Lipstick Balm line and it’s GORGEOUS! It is 3-in-1 lipstick (lip balm, treatment and lipstick). It’s lightweight with hyaluronic acid that adds a high shine finish. There are quite a number of beautiful shades to chose from. I also find liquid eyeshadows are quite interesting and Armani Beauty Eye Tint Long-Lasting Liquid Eyeshadow are the best cream shadows.
  • Nest New York home Scents are a luxurious option that you can pair with a nice bouquet of flowers. At the moment the new Wild Mint & Eucalyptus collection is one of the most additive home scents. Reviewed here.
  • Skincare is my favourite but again can be tricky, but one thing that you can’t go wrong with is sheet masks. I just discovered the Knesko Nano Gold Repair Collagen Face Mask is AMAZING! At the same time, Shiseido also introduced their Vital Perfection LiftDefine Radiance Face Masks which are quite nice.
    I also find products like Sulwhasoo’s First Care Activating Serum + La Prairie’s Skin Caviar Liquid Lift Serum are a must-have in any women’s skincare routine.
  • Small fashion pieces are always fun, I don’t think anyone would object to receiving the Chloe Logo Slide Saandle, Canvas hand-crafted silk scarves are just lux and gorgeous. Tory Brush Mini Lee Radziwill Leather Bag is on everyone’s bucket list.

O.P.I | Hollywood Collection

As many of you know I am obsessed over the O.P.I nail polish collections. And this time O.P.I just launched their Spring2021 Hollywood Collection to celebrate OPI’s 40th anniversary. This is one of the most beautiful nail collections with a combination of bright and pastel shades to bring freshness to your nail looks.

The colours and the names are inspired by Hollywood where its OPI birthplace. At times my nails weren’t in good shape at all, they were breaking continuously. I got myself into some vitamins to help. But I manage to get some good swatches here. I find the entire collection is opaque and you get nails nicely covered with two codes. All swatches are with two codes.

Most of the shades are wearable for me. They go very well with my skin tone except for some shades like 15 Minutes of Flame, Rated Pea-G and Strawberry Margarita. They wear quite nice and with good lasting power.
