Makeup By Mario Transforming Skin Enhancer & SoftSculpt Transforming Skin Perfector

I am a little late on this but finally, I have Makeup By Mario’s new Transforming Skin Enhancer ($38) & Perfector ($44) on review today. These are all-in-one products that do multiple tasks at the same time which I am a huge lover of. As many have noticed the heavy contouring and highlighting are fading tremendously, and light shadows and sculpting are in massive trend at the moment. Mario is an amazing artist I’ve been a fan of his art and was really interested in his products to test and try. Here is a closer look at the items.

SoftSculpt Transforming Skin Enhancer

This is an all-in-one tinted complexion enhancer that adds warmth, evens out the skin and sculpts in the most natural way possible. It comes in 6 shades to cover all skin tones, while I think the shades are limited but I love that there is a range of warm and cool tones in the collection to serve skin tones. The formula has a balmy texture that melts into the skin with sheer coverage but is buildable and leaves skin nourished. I love how it doesn’t leave harsh lines on the complexion while it gives a nice and natural sculpt complexion.

I picked the formula in the shade Light Medium in store that has enough colour to show up on my complexion with a cooler tone that I like to use to get the sculpted and toned look. I also tried the shade Light which doesn’t show up on my skin but adds a nice warmth and evens out my skin and Medium is a good shade with a warmer undertone that works like a nice bronzer on my complexion.

I love that the formula comes in cream form that applies nicely during the summer and winter to the skin with a smooth finish. It applies nicely with a flat brush, it doesn’t need to buff it out since the formula is sheer and is quite blendable. It’s nice to go over places that need warmth and concentrate on parts to need sculpting.

SoftSculpt Transforming Skin Perfector

This is three in one powder that perfects, illuminates, and sets, as well as the blurring effect, gives airbrushes finished to the complexion. This is the most innovative setting powder I’ve tried. It has a very unique design that instantly sets the under-eye area + highlights, bronzes and sculpts the complexion at once. The powder comes in 5 universal shades to cover all skin tones. The formula is lightweight with sheer coverage that adds radiance.

I picked the shade Light which gives me a nice and subtle effect which I like with a cooler tone. Light Medium definitely works on my skin as well. I picked light because we’re almost transitioning into fall and I will lose my tan + as I mentioned heavy contouring isn’t a thing right now.

It does have a learning curve in it. You need a fluffy brush that fits your face + you don’t need to swirl the powder as its unique design guides its application. I don’t like to set the under-eye area but this sets where the highlighter sets and just a little above so it instantly brightens + lifts the face.

In the end, highly recommend these products as they’re getting into my everyday look and becoming stable for me as they’re both multitask products and with high performance that I like on my everyday looks (day & night). I don’t have side-by-side comparison swatches since I haven’t tried anything similar to them.

The application is quite easy without any fuss, and definitely impressed with its high quality. I’ve linked some of my favourite items from the brand that I like and will be featuring here on the blog with you guys. Let me know what’s your favourite item from Mario’s collection.
