Shiseido | Recent Skin and Makeup Discoveries

Shiseido is a beauty brand that does well when it comes to its skincare and makeup. I have always loved their complexion and eye makeup products. Today I am sharing some of the product that I have been using and testing for the past couple of months and has become essentials in my skincare and makeup routine. Here what goes into the review:

Starting with skincare – I have been testing out the new Vital Perfection Uplifting and Firming Cream (C$175.00 for 50 mL) which is a nice rich moisturizer with a super silky finish that doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. It’s designed to target loss of elasticity and dark spots as well as fine lines and wrinkles over time. Its texture is lightweight while I felt it’s super hydrating for dry skin. It melts into the skin over applied and makeup goes quite well on top of it. I also find the ingredients are well put together for normal to dry skin.
It slightly feels rich on super hot humid days, but I still manage to wear it on my nightly skincare routine.

The Vital Protection Collection comes in three different textures :

Its formulated with KURENAI-TruLift Complexion that offers a more sculpted appearance and VP8+ Technology helps boost skin’s regenerative powder for more radiant and younger-looking skin. Its also infused with ingredients like olive root, tea, and angelica root extracts to address wrinkles and dullness.

Up next is the WASO: Eye-Opening Essence (C$ 32.00 for 200 mL) is a lightweight essence formula that is packed with a blend of grated daikon and carrot that is effective for under-eye darkness and puffiness. The formula is gel-like and goes into the skin and layers beautifully with other eye creams. The formula is infused with vitamin C and vitamin E that adds radiance and promotes blood circulations around the eye area that will prevent pigmentation over time.

The whole WASO collection is inspired by the holistic and natural Japanese food tradition of Washoku. This line is designed to help balance, hydrated, and prevent the appearance of imperfections.

The While Carrot Cells formulas provide additional hydration to the skin and blur out any fine lines and wrinkles throughout the day and over time. The packaging is quite unique and easy to use. It’s a perfect product to apply just before heading to the gym or to carry it along in your gym pack before or after your workout, or you can easily introduce it on your daily skincare routine for your under eye area. I have been loving it during this summertime for its super lightweight texture.

Next is a couple of beauty items that have blown my mind. The new Synchro Skin Foundation from Synchro Skin collection is definitely one of the best skin foundations I have tried and yet the Synchro Skin Invisible Silk Loose Setting Powder I received as a press sample from the brand. This is unlike any other Loose powders that will leave a powdery cast on the skin. Its air light and ultrafine powder only enhance the finish and wear of the foundation.
It comes in only one universal translucent shade yet with two different textures – (Radiant and Matte). I got to try it in Radiant which my skin is loving the most.

It’s the new microfine Japanese formula that has a radiant finish and sets the foundation for long wear.

I am absolutely in love with its packaging. It comes in with a protective plastic cap that you can place the puff without overloading the puff with the powder. Plus it comes in with a cotton anti-spill protector that gives you not only helps with spilling the powder around your makeup bag and vanity, it also helps you have more control over powder application.
The compact comes in a very nice and high-quality puff that really feels like silk on the skin and applies the powder evenly throughout the complexion.

Last but not least Brow Ink Trio Pencil, Powder, Brush (C$32.00) is a three-in-one pencil, powder along a brush for flawless and nicely framed natural-looking brows. I find this all in one you need for your easy to go brow look. Its build-in with a slim retractable pencil that you can shape and add hair-like strokes, while the center opens to reveal a sponge tip applicator that is pre-loaded with a feather-light powder to fill in the brows and add depth. It also carries a nice brush to blend and groom brows for a more flawless and effortless look. The formula is water and sweat resistant and doesn’t smudge, give more long wear throughout the day.

It comes in four shades to cover all, I received it in Taupe which is a perfect shade for my brows. It’s not too dark and not too light with a nice green grey under tone that looks supper natural.
It’s perfect and easy to apply brow product that you can carry along anywhere you go.

At the bottom, all these skin and makeup products are absolutely amazing and performed well. I think the Vital Perfection Uplifting and Firming cream is nice for someone like me with dry skin all year long. It gets into the skin without feeling greasy on humid days as well as the WASO Eye Essence is really nice and hydrating yet super effective to reduce those fine lines and darkness.

As many of you know I don’t get impressed with powders easily yet I can confidently say that I am Obsessed! I can literally use a powder with peace of mind. And an all-in-one brow product that I can reach out to all the time. I would highly recommend you to try it and you’ll thank me later.

You can find all these available at all Shiseido’s counters in all department stores as well as Sephora and Shiseido.ca. If you have any other product from the brand that I am missing please let me know in the comments, I would love to hear from you.
