HOURGLASS | Ambient® Strobe Lighting Powders

Hourglass is one of my favourite brands, they always come with ultra luxe products that anyone can fall in love with it immediately. This time Hourglass have launched some additions to their Ambient Lighting family which is Ambient® Strobe Lighting Powders ($48 each for 0.16 oz/4.6 g) and Ambient Stroping Light Sculptor ($27). These Ambient® Strobe Lighting Powders are infused with a sheer base powder and carries an ultra fine micro pearl particles in different sizes, which reflects light on skin for more natural looking glow. This Strobe Lighting Powders are developed with Photoluminescent Technology where it captures and diffuses the light, so the skin looks illumines and gives more refined appearance. You don’t have to worry about the sparkles, they give a perfect natural glow to the face without looking frosty on the skin and they do not emphasize the pores at all.

Ambient® Strobe Lighting Powders comes in four shades:

• Euphoric Strobe Light – A pearlescent bronze powder which gives a natural highlight
• Iridescent Strobe Light – A pink illuminating powder offering a soft highlight
• Brilliant Strobe Light – A shimmering gold powder with a lustrous highlight
• Incandescent Strobe Light – An opalescent pearl powder bestowing a divine highlight

Iridescent Strobe Light was introduced to the Ambient Lighting lovers before in (Ambient Lighting Edit) this holiday season. The texture in all of them are very sheer, and are perfect for all skin tones. These Strobe Lighting Powders can be  used dry for a sheer finish or wet for more intense highlight. I tried to use it dry all over my face and wet just on highest point of the face for more sculpt face and I definitely recommend you to try it as well. You can also combo them for a celestial look.

Iridescent and Incandescent are very similar, Iridescent is slightly pinker and deeper than Incandescent. Brilliant is a yellow based with gold shimmering. And Euphoric is the only deep option in the collection, I would describe as a gorgeous bronze option.
These Ambient® Strobe Lighting Powders are similar in size to Ambient Lighting Blushes except the colour is silver. The packaging is always on point and has a luxurious presentation.

A quick look at the Ambient Strobing Light Sculptor, it is a dual ended sculptor which applies these Strobing Powders perfectly to the face and can be used wet or dry. The angled side fits perfectly to the cheek bones to distribute a perfect amount of powders to the highest point of the face. I find the brushes and Beauty Blender works as well as the sculptor.
