As many of you know by now, I get excited when I find a new complexion launch especially when it comes from my favourite brand. Estee Lauder launched a new base called Futurist SkinTint Serum Foundation with Botanical Oil Infusion SPF 20 ($73). Estee Lauder products are worth the hype and in my experience, everything I’ve ever tried from skincare to makeup products has been exceptional in performance and quality.
Estee Lauder sent over the new Futurist SkinTint Serum Foundation with Botanical Oil Infusion SPF 20 in shade Desert Beige on my request to try. The colour range is incredible and you can find shades from the lightest to the darkest and with different tones. I anticipated trying this base because I’ve tried all complexion bases from Estee Lauder and all of the formulas have been supper hit for me especially the Futurist Hydra RescueMoisturizing Foundation SPF 45 (reviewed here) is one of my favourite bases for its coverage and finish I like to wear during the winter season.
This is a base with skincare benefits or in other words, this is your tinted serum that offers light coverage and a natural radiant finish with all the benefits of a serum. The glow in this base is incredible and suitable for dry mature skin. The foundation is free of silicones, parabens, phthalates, sulphates, mineral oil, and drying alcohol. It comes with a dropper dispenser as the foundation carries a very runny liquid-like texture. It applies well with a brush or a beauty sponge depending on what kind of coverage you want. I like to use a brush to build more coverage as it has sheer coverage. I did an application demo below.
The lasting power is impressive, you do need to set it light with a powder, especially under the eye area. It makes skin look smoother, especially if you have fine lines and wrinkles. It feels comfortable on the skin. I have a side by side comparison swatches with other foundations from the brand and I find this one of the most sheer coverage between them.

I think you can see the texture and finish of the foundations and their coverage. I swatched them by their coverage and the new Futurist Skin Tint has the sheerest coverage.
I love it!! I wear foundation almost every day, it is always a tinted moisturizer. If you have dry and mature skin, this feels and looks good on the skin.
