As a mascara lover I have another mascara + primer roundup today! Mascara is one of the beauty products that I can’t live without, a good and full proof mascara is a must have for me. I’m kind of gravitating towards the regular formulas for the past year over water proof just for the fact that it is not only easier to take it, I was also losing some lashes when whipping the mascara off. I have been a long time lover for water-proof formulas in the past because of my hooded eyes and most of the time regular mascara tend to smudge on my crease which is not so flattering. But I have found way to get away with it by baking the eye crease with a loose power and I’m good to go with a regular formula. I can not stick to one mascara and always use mascaras as duos and most of the time I use one that offers lengthening and one for volumizing. In meanwhile primers also works great on my lashes, they add so much length and volume at the same time. Here are some of the formulas I’m loving lately:
Lancôme is one of the brands that can’t do wrong with their mascaras. Hypnoses Drama is a perfect mascara that gives lashes a good volume, for me it have been one of the ultimate mascaras that I have been reaching out all the time especially the days I need a full thick lash look. I’m also a huge lover for their Monsieur mascara which I have already gone through two of them recently. I truly appreciate that there is zero clumping or flaking, while if formula is quite buildable to create day to evening looks with just by layering the product on the lashes. The brush have been designed very uniquely that really gives lashes a lifted look.
I have had the CILS Booster XL Super-Enhancing Mascara Base in mini version when I received it with my gift with the purchase with my latest purchase from Lancôme. This is probably one of the best bases for mascara to get longer and more volumized lashes. I have been loving the combination of the Hypnoses Drama and CILS Booster for the most dramatic lash look. Primers do a lot to my lashes, I get length and volume from primers and these have been a wow duo for me. Other than that I find this primer works great with all other mascaras.
The Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara and Primer have been on my radar for quite some time and this is probably another good volumizing mascara that have hit my vanity. The unique curvy brush places the most volume at the hard to reach center lash line and the defining tip grabs the lashes to give a major drama look. Paring it with the primer definitely it adds extra volume and length, it works best if you don’t let it dry completely before applying mascara. I would say this is one of the mascaras that gives the most volume lash look. I find both Mascara and Primer works towards volume and if you want to add a little more length pair the Primer with a good lengthening mascara and it becomes a perfect mascara duo.
This is one of the mascaras I have recently discovered and I have been so impressed with the performance and finish look of this mascara. I love the way the wand is designed where you can really brush out the lashes to the max. The trick to get a full volumized and long lashes is to brush out lashes max with one coat and its only possible when you have a good mascara brush. It really grabs and separate the lashes without any clumps.
Last but not least is this It Lash Mascara from Dior, which I purchased it when I was browsing on some new launches. I have had used the Pump ‘N’ Volume last year which was quite an amazing formula. Yet this one caught my eyes and I know Dior have the best formulas when it comes to mascaras and seeing the chubby brush with spiky bristles – I knew this would give me length and volume at the same time. It carries a very radiant finish and you can get a nice length with one coat while layering adds more volume.
At the end I really wanted to add a best mascara from drugstore, I’ve been a long time lover for the Loreal Telescopic and Voluminous Million Lash mascaras which have been an ultimate mascara duo for me when it comes to drugstore mascaras. I know many of you have showed interest in a good drugstore mascaras. I received this as a press sample a while back and this impressed me for every thing it claims. I love the super new innovation of applicator which makes the application super easy. I think its one of the best drugstore mascaras I’ve tried by far.
I hope this round up was helpful and you have found a good mascara that would work for you. I personally love to use a more chunky brushed mascara with longer bristles to brush off my lashes nicely. I have been hooked to these mascaras for the past couple of month and I must admit I have never been so happy with my mascara collection before. I can’t pick one that is better than the other, they’re all supper amazing while primers adds a huge role to my lashes. I would love to know what’s your favorite mascara that you love to wear.
