Charlotte Tilbury | Icon Palette & Latex Love Lip Glosses

Charlotte Tilbury just launched some new beauty products this season, she launched the new The Icon Palette along with some new super pigmented lip glosses Latex Love lip Gloss. The palette is truly phenomenal in terms of color selection, pigment, and texture. Just a perfect palette to get glam during the day or night with an amazing range of colors that are wearable. The lip glosses offer a high shine finish yet fully pigmented with a longest-lasting powder that amazed me.

Icon Palette

The Icon palette (C$91.78 for 12 shades 0.07 oz. each made in Italy) is a multicolored eyeshadow palette that comes in a super silk-satin finish. That eyeshadow palette is designed to create a perfect Day, Date, Diva, and Disco look by following the rows vertically, other than that you can mix and match the colors to create a look that suits your everyday mood. The shadows can be worn wet or dry too, and when worn wet, they give a very silk-veil effect to the eyes. They blend beautifully and work great with all skin tones. In this Icon Palette:

  • Champagne is a shimmering champagne
  • Pink Gold is a rose-pink shimmery pink
  • Muted Cranberry Red is a shimmering warm red
  • Gold is a shimmering is a neutral brassy gold shimmer
  • Copper is a shimmery red copper
  • Bronze is a warm peachy brick shimmer
  • Dark Gold is a shimmery champagne gold
  • Golden Bronze is a shimmery bronzy gold
  • Smoky Warm Brown is a shimmery terracotta
  • Emerald is a beautiful jewel green that I personally love to wear
  • Sapphire Blue is a jewel blue
  • Charcoal is a true black shade with some shimmers

All the 12 shades are new and feature from iridescent champagne to the perfect black charcoal with a hint of sparkle. The compact is sturdy and has a large pan to dip a brush into easily, yet it’s compact enough to travel with.

Latex Love Lip Gloss

Latex Love Lip Glosses (C$48.01 each) are highly pigmented and super hydrating lip gloss with a mirror shine finish. They come in 6 different shades from the nice peachy nude to a very dark shade. The glosses are formulated with a lip-hugging effect to enhance your lips and coats them with a brilliant and mirror shine effect. The shades I got to play with includes:

  • Cannes Tropez is a pretty soft peachy nude
  • Dirty Dancer is a warm neutral brick-red
  • Studio 64 is a bright red with a blue undertone

The texture is smooth and not sticky. It feels comfortable and super hydrating on the lips. Color payoff and finish insanely to where I think the gloss could be. Both Cannes Tropez and Dirty Dancer are my favorite everyday wear, while the Studio 64 is one of the brightest shades in the collection. I wish there was a nice Barbie pink but I think Berry Nude is another shade that I would fall in love with. They don’t smear or get smudged around the edges of the lips but adding a lip pencil improves the overall look and lasting power of the glosses. Lasting power overall is insanely amazing compare to regular lip glosses while it does stain the lips for a more long-lasting look. It stays input for a couple of hours with its high shine but I did need to reapply after eating a full meal.

They aren’t transferred proof if you eat or drink, and reapplication is required after a couple of hours to keep up with the high shine effect – I don’t mind reapplying. The packaging is sleek and non-fuss with the sponge applicator. The colors are very pretty and easy to wear. You’ll find this one of the most pigmented lip glosses on the market which I personally loved it. I loved all three shades, but Cannes Tropez is a shade I can wear everywhere without giving it a second thought.

Overall a solid launch of a perfect combination of day and night look for any time of the year. I’m not a huge lover of brighter eyeshadow palettes, I do wear brighter colors once in a while and these colors are not outside my comfort zone. I would still consider this palette as neutral and easy to wear for a more dramatic palette you can own. I really loved the Latex Glosses – it carries enough pigment to complete my look. I feel like I need to line the lips with a matching shade to create a perfect pout. The quality and lasting power are really good and stay input as long as you don’t touch anything and they’re true to its colors. And in the end, it’s true love.
