Armani Beauty is celebrating the Luminous Silk Foundation’s 20th anniversary. The brand just added a new concealer to their Luminous Silk line. Luminous Silk Foundation has been one of top-rated foundations yet they also added new shades to this foundation line to cover all skin tones.
Luminous Silk Foundation (C$80 for 30mL & C$55 for 18mL) is one of the best selling foundations around the world, it’s probably one of the best formulas for a nice natural flawless glow. The brand added 10 new shades to the collection ranging to 40 shades to cover all skin tones. Yet I was super excited to test and try out the Luminous Silk Foundation for the first time. I’ve already tried out their primer which was launched with the concealer earlier this year – reviewed here.
I have been a lover of their Power Fabric line and as a natural beauty lover, I always wanted to try out this Luminous Silk Foundation.
This is one of the foundations that mostly gets recommended by celebrity makeup artists. I find the texture is super light and sheer but buildable to medium coverage and carries a translucent finish. It’s definitely an everyday foundation that looks like your skin but better. Adds a nice radiance, evens out the skin while you do see imperfections like freckles. Definitely a foundation that enhances the complexion. It’s designed for those who don’t like the fake skin look or thick foundation feel in their complexion.
It glides seamlessly onto the skin using a finger, brush, or beauty sponge. I personally love to use my foundation brush, I find it blends quite nicely. The lasting power is quite amazing especially when it sets with a finishing powder. Selecting shades are a bit tricky with Armani Beauty, they do oxidize one or sometimes two shades darker. I would highly recommend to match your undertone and go a shade lighter than your skin.
Luminous Silk Lightweight Concealer (C$49) is a hydrating full coverage concealer that comes in 20 shades to cover all skin tones. This can be used as a corrector as well as a concealer for better coverage. This isn’t like your full coverage concealer, it lightweight and with a luminous finish. It offers brightness and radiance with buildable coverage. Yet if you’re suffering from deep dark circles or high pigmentation this isn’t something that will combat it. You can use this in a peach or orange shade to even out the skin then you can conceal it for a flawless finish.
It’s designed with a super soft plump applicator for a mistake-proof application. I was really impressed with this new feature. I received the concealer in #2 which is a good match to my skin carrying a warmer undertone.
Here is why I wanted to share the side-by-side swatches of the concealer in the same shade to show the difference. It’s important to make sure it matches your skin tone in person. I feel with the Luminous Silk Foundation goes well with the same shade as its concealer. I feel like #3 would have been a better or exact match to my skin.
I tried out the whole like together and I find the primer, foundation, and concealer go very well together to create a supernatural and glowing complexion with amazing lasting power. It’s probably one of the foundations and concealers that you can wear comfortably at any time and anywhere. I find you can always correct the parts that need correction while adding this as a nice glowing veil on your skin for a flawless finish.
