I think Trinny London has been a loud voice for the past year, I feel like more people recognize Trinny through her fashion sense and presentation. And if you aren’t familiar with the name then Trinny Wooldale is a well-known television presenter and she has been the main host of What Not to Wear. She has been branching her beauty line with her own name. Her concept is beauty that is easy to wear and uniquely personalized selection to your own skin and eye colour plus multi-tasking products that do things at once. It’s clearly designed for ladies with minimal makeup looks who are on the go but well put together.
I’ve been following her on social media for quite some time and I love the concept and the practical usage of the beauty products. I was super excited to find that finally her beauty line is expanding to Canada and I am one of the first beauty bloggers who is going to test and try her products. And of course, I am here to share my thoughts on her beauty line.
BFF De-Stress Base is a lightweight tinted moisturizer that works like your BB cream and has everything you need for your everyday makeup-no-makeup looks plus great skin-loving technology for a more energized-looking skin. The coverage is sheer but buildable with a glowing finish that makes skin look internally beautiful. The formula is designed for dry to normal skin so it really gives skin that extra boost of hydration it needs during the day. I love how she covered all skin tones in her collection. I personally don’t like powders but if you do then this needs to be set with a powder. You do want to cover up dark circles and spots with a concealer. The lasting power is quite average but I love that reapplication is very easy and blends heavenly on the skin.
I got two shades to try – Binky that is a Sandy Beige for Light-Medium Skin and Leslie that is a Golden Honey for Medium Skin. I find Blinky is a good match to my skin while Leslie has a more peachy undertone. I personally love to wear BB creams for a day look which gives me a natural finish and I’ve been loving the formula.
Eyetallics Shimmering eye shadows are individual cream to powder shimmering eyeshadow pots that are easy to wear and with a good colour payoff. This collection is inspired by the Roman goddesses of Italy. I got it in one of the newly added shades – Aphrodite which is a nice metallic deep Burgandy. It blends quite nice and you can easily build its coverage for bolder looks. If you ever hesitated in wearing shimmer these are quite easy to wear and a good starting point to make you feel more comfortable.
During the holiday season I got my hands on their gift sets that’s where I discovered the brand. The gift sets are still available and I was quite impressed with the Eye2Eye T-Tones Duo that contains two bestselling eye shades that can be worn alone or layered beautifully together. I got it in the shade Mystery Dawn which is consists of Mystery + Dawn that are pewter bronze + soft moonlight silver respectively. I am not a shimmery eye look lover (I only wear it at weddings) but I’ve been contiuesly reaching out to shade Down as an accent shade to my eye looks. Its shimmers are quite fine but it finishes with an extra glass finish.
Sheer Shimmer is a lightweight creamy pot that is designed to instantly add a nice glow and flush of colour to your cheeks and lips. Weasie is a newly added shade to the collection and it’s a nice rosy bronze shimmer shade. It looks really nice on the cheeks as well as it gives a flush of colour to the lips.
I was sent out the Miracle Blur along with the beauty products to test. It’s a Skin-smoothing miracle pot that instantly smooths out and fills in any wrinkles or scars that are more obvious on lips and are around the complexion. It works like a primer or a blurring primer to prep + finish skin as smooth as possible. You can also wear it alone to make your complexion look as flawless as you can.
Overall, the products are wearable with easy application that works great on everyday wear and for those with minimal makeup looks. I personally loved and have been reaching out to the BFF De-Stress on a daily basis, it really awakens my skin immediately with a natural finish buy even out skin.
The Eye2eye and Sheer Shimmer are easy eye and lip/cheek products that can be applied with fingertips for a nice and pulled-together look. I absolutely love the finish of them and can carry them anywhere with you on your makeup bags.
