This spring Stila is releasing some new products for the face including the Aqua Glow Serum Foundation ($59 for 1 fl. oz.) that comes in 10 shades and the Aqua Glow Serum Concealer ($35 for 0.23 fl. oz.) which comes in 8 shades. I have been testing these for a week now, and I have been loving it. My shade in foundation is Light and Fair Light in concealer. Today I’ll be sharing my thoughts on the formulas, wear time, texture and swatches.

Aqua Glow Serum Foundation is an ionzied water-based foundation which carries a muti-reflect pigments that deflect light. It is a very light weight foundation, that gives a medium coverage with one to two pumps, and totally undetectable on skin. To me the texture is very smooth and has a more natural looking finish. This Aqua Glow Serum Foundation evens skin tone and gives a very natural look. I would say the coverage is medium but build-able to a full coverage. On me this one evens out my skin tone and imperfections flawlessly. One thing that should be mentioned is you have to make sure you shake it well before use otherwise I found the serum separates out from foundation and it doesn’t feel pleasant at all.

In terms of wear, the Aqua Glow Serum Foundation blends into the skin seamlessly without streaking or caking and gives an instant boosting hydration to the skin, leaving the skin radiant. For wear time, I found it lasted all day long. I do feel what you use underneath will make a difference, since this is on the luminous side, if you are oily you may want to go lighter on the moisturizer or base. The package is in a glass bottle with a push pump at the top to dispense product through a dropper, very convenient to control the amount of product.

Aqua Glow Serum Concealer is also ionized water-based, build-able concealer which blends seamlessly into the skin. The texture is very smooth blends out perfectly and covers imperfections, it evens out dark areas under the eyes and doesn’t cake on my skin. It comes in a tube packaging and a little goes along way. The Aqua Glow Serum Concealer is infused with an advanced Electrolyte Balance system which helps to hydrate and replenish skin. I don’t have under eye wrinkles yet but some full coverage foundations or cream concealers can emphasize fine lines, the Aqua Glow Serum Concealer blends in with the skin for nearly invisible look. The nourishing serum formula instantly conceals dark circles, as well as blemishes and other imperfections without leaving any trace of fine lines. Lasting powder is quite good, it lasts all day without creasing or fading, I do set with a loose powder though (here is my favourite).

Overall I have been loving the Aqua Glow Serum line from Stila. If you’re some one who likes to even out the skin tone and likes light weight formulas this is where the stop point is. The Aqua Glow Serum line are available online at and will be available in March at Shoppers Drug Mart,, Murale and
