New Liquid & Pencil Eyeliners from Huda Beauty, Urban Decay, Lancome, bareMinerals

Some new eyeliners have launched from a few brands I love and are putting up a roundup review today. I am a huge lover of eyeliner looks whether it’s liquid or pencil, I use them a lot. These are some of the eyeliners that I’ve been playing with recently.

Huda Beauty

Huda Beauty just introduced their Creamy Kohl Longwear Eye Pencil in two different shades Very Vanta – extreme black & Very Brown – rich chocolate brown. These are matte-finish pencil liners with a very creamy and gel-like feel it and with the maximum colour payoff. I love that creating a nice sharp liner just like gel/liquid or smudged look works AMAZING!! It sets in place without any smudging or smearing at all. It claims to be waterproof which I haven’t tested yet but it is hard to remove once it sets in place. It is becoming a must-have for me.

bareMinerals

I got to try out the MINERALIST Lasting Eyeliner from bareMinerals recently. This is a mineral-based waterproof liner that carries very rich pigment with great lasting power but I would say it is pretty average. It stays in place and has a very soft and creamy texture. The liner comes in two shades – Topaz – matte rich brown & Onyx – matte rich black. Again I love it as you can easily create a nice sharp winged liner or smudged liner for everyday look and both ways it stays in place for a decent amount of time.

I always love a good brown liner and this carries more red pigment so it looks slightly different compared to many other liners in the market.

Urban Decay

I’ve been a long-time lover of Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil and I couldn’t hold myself on not trying the new 24/7 Inks Easy Ergonomic Liquid Eyeliner Pen. These are liquid liners that are water/smudge resistant and come in a vibrant range of colours. As a minimalist, I got to try them in natural shades Zero – matte black & Whiskey – matte dark brown. I find the applicator makes it quite easy to create the sharp wing look and it holds itself for the entire day. I did find myself playing with it quite often as there were mixed reviews of it getting dry after each application. To be honest, I didn’t feel it dry out on me but I have been placing it on my jar, not flat. The lasting power is incredible, it doesn’t move or budge at all. I am enjoying this liner for days like to create a winged liner look.

Lancome

I never had a chance to go over Lancome eyeliners before but I am a huge fan of their mascaras specially the Lash Idôle Lash-Lifting & Volumizing Waterproof Mascara. Lancome introduced Idôle Ultra-Precise Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner which is a waterproof liner with a precise applicator tip and intense colour payoff. I love the formula, applicator, finish and intense colour payoff but for some reason, it dries off after each application. I tried many different techniques to bring out the product but I am still struggling.

Here is a quick side-by-side comparison of swatches of all formulas for their finish and colour pigment.

Overall for me, these formulas have been super hit. I did have a hard time with Idôle Ultra-Precise Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner bringing out the product to the tip (that’s why the swatch is not sharp) but I couldn’t hold myself back as the finish and lasting of this liquid liner is amazing for creating thick and smudged liner look.
