Sharing a roundup of some recent favourites I’ve been loving during the summer season. There is a mix of things for the home, plus a few new beauty items that are becoming stables as well as hit/miss fashion hauls.
For the Home
Nest Fragrance send out their new limited edition x Gray Malin Sicilian Tangerine Scented Candle & Reed Diffuser this year and I couldn’t be happier to find the collection. I was introduced to the x Gray Malin Ocean Mist & Sea Salt Collection last year (reviewed here) which has been a favourite for its pleasant scent and gorgeous finish that complemented my home decor. Feeling very lucky to find Nest Fragrance’s seasonal scents as I am becoming obsessed with the performance, quality and scent they offer each season.
The Nest Fragrance x Gray Malin Sicilian Tangerine Scented Candle ($48 each) & Reed Diffuser ($56 each) carries notes such as Sicilian tangerine and bergamot with tropical nuances of passion fruit and mango blended over a base of musk and praline that makes this exceptional fresh and sweet. I am obsessed with their 3 Wicked candles ($76) along with their reed diffusers as they’re the only ones that can infuse my open concept house easily. I also place them in my bedroom for the same reason.
I find some of their famous scents’ special promotions at Nordstrom that I will link here for you and it’s a perfect time to take the advantage of these promotions. Grapefruit Candle Duo (sale $62 value $92), Wild Mint & Eucalyptus Candle Duo (sale $62 value $92 ) and Bamboo & Grapefruit Reed Diffuser Duo (sale $78 $116).
Our place Always Pan is slowly becoming essential to my daily cooking routine. Its been placed on the top of my stove since I started to use it. Recently I received their newer version of the Always Pan Cast Iron its heirloom-quality, super-easy-to-care-for enamelled cast iron. It’s a great one for more heavy cooking, I can’t wait to share some easy recipes with you guys with the same pans. I wish I knew these pans are this handy, they worth every single penny.

I finally got my hands on some beauty items that were on my radar, and that were very impressive.
Diorshow OnSet Brow Gel is finally back!! It’s one of the best brow gel setters that immediately frame the face. I had this back in 2018 but then it disappeared… They launched back the product this year and I knew I needed this in my makeup looks back. It’s light but adds a nice volume + the microfibers and tint fill in the brows and the gel sets them in place all day long. I love that the formula is waterproof so it is perfect for hot & humid days.
I am very picky when it comes to complexion products especially concealer and recently I got my hands on Trinny London’s BFF Eye concealer to try. I have been a huge fan of her BFF De-Stress foundation for my daily looks and her concealer was on my radar since it was listed as Allure’s winner for 2021. It’s lightweight and melts into the skin and you can not detect the texture on the skin at all, it looks like skin. It doesn’t emphasize any fine lines or wrinkles. I got to try it in shade Alice which is a perfect shade for my under-eye area.
Kylie Jenner Kyliner Brush Tip Liquid Eyeliner Pen in black is a new find that I was quite surprised by its performance. Although my daily looks are based on pencil liners but for my evening and weekend looks having a nice black liner that stays up for a good time is essential. This one has exceeded my expectation for its lasting powder and ultra-fine brush tip that not only makes the application super easy but also has that great precision and control that is quite impressive. The formula is water-resistant and it’s definitely one of the long-wear black liners that come in the cutest packaging. After testing her liner, I am pulling up my sleeves to get my hands on her products.
Something I’ve been loving the most during the summer season are cream blushes. I’ve been really impressed with two formulas. The new Pixie’s On the Glow Blushes have been one item that every single beauty blogger has been raving about their formula, ease to wear and a great selection of shades that they come in. I finally got to try and it’s definitely a hit drugstore blush you need to try. I got it in shade Fleur that is a beautiful peachy pink with a nice glow.
Trinny’s LiptoCheek in Veebee which is a mix of warm coral shade that is quite flattering and its becoming an stable in my makeup looks. The formula is absolutely amazing with a non-slippery texture that stays very well on the skin. You can easily wear it on cheeks and lips.
Makeup By Mario’s Sculpting Transforming Skin Enhancer and Skin Perfector Powder has been one of the most requested products to review and I am super impressed!! Full review and swatches to come in the next blog post along with Buxom’s Dolly’s limited edition lip gloss that I am lately obsessed with.

For the Nails
Nothing stays as good as O.P.I nail polishes on my nails. Neons, nudes, light blues and corals are trending huge right now and here are a few shades I’ve been loving to wear lately during the summer season.
This is a new shade from O.P.I’s latest collection Power Of Hues which is a pretty cotton candy shade with shimmers that add an extra touch. I love how this Neon shade is easy to wear and it looks nice on all skin tones. Two coats to get full coverage finish.
This is a nice Frosty white with a nice pearl finish, gets into its true colour with two coats. I think it’s a classic white polish that is perfect to wear any time of the year.
I always stay away from bright pinks for the fact they look dirty on my skin tone but this is one bright pink that actually looks really nice and is a good pop of colour for summertime. Two coats to get full coverage.

Recently I had a few fashion purchases that were hit and miss. Dior’s sunnies are always my favourite and after a long time, I finally had a chance or more so I am slowly getting out of toddler motherhood where almost everything gets lost or broken frequently. I decided its time to purchase myself a new brand of sunnies. These are Dior Signature 51MM Cat Eye Sunglasses that I fell in love with in person in the store and immediately purchased. They’re a little different from what I normally wear but I love that they add a little edgy look to the overall look.
I was debating between the Dior’s Book Tote and Symbole jacquard fabric handbag but just noticed H&M released their Jacquard-weave Handbag collection I was really impressed with its style, quality and look of it. I do invest in my bags but for this one, it’s a piece that takes occasionally and I wasn’t sure if wanted to put up a big price tag. The H&M bag was a super hit.
When it comes to sandals, wedges are my favourite to wear during the summer season, and these Vinyl Wedges from Zara I purchased right the day it was released. I didn’t have any chance to wear it earlier, but it’s a miss. I had it on for 30 minutes and my toes where the edge of the plastic hit started to bleed. Although the shoes itself is quite comfortable and are really beautiful… I might try a few tricks to break it down to see if it starts to wear comfortably.
