This Ultra HD Foundation (C$52 for 1.01 oz) from Make Up For ever was on my radar for a very long time. I had a mini makeover at Sephora last week to learn more about color correcting and wanted to pick up some products to share with you all, and the Sephora rep picked the Ultra HD foundation to finish the look, she had a hard time finding the right shade to match my skin (I usually mix two shades to get matched), and she did picked a shade which match to my skin, even though I was not impressed with the shade (I still have to mix two shades) but the shade was very close to my skin tone. I was very pleased with what the outcome was, it felt the foundation was weightless on skin with a flawless finish.
This Ultra HD Foundation creates a naturally flawless complexion as it claims and designed with light defusing formula which creates a natural looking finish. It’s designed for all skin texture and types normal, dry and combination skins. It carries a medium coverage but it’s buildable to full coverage. This Ultra HD Foundation have great range of shades which is expanded to 40 shades to match all skin tones. I had used the HD liquid foundation a few years back and I still remember how beautifully it comes out in pictures, I did snap few pics with different camera and I must say it photographs beautifully with any kind of camera but with HD cameras it’s comes out perfect. Make Up For Ever always have been one of brands with leading in making innovations and technology. It’s packaged in a sleek and gorgeous looking clear case so you can see the product inside with a plastic pump dispenser. a little goes a long way, I find that only two pumps covers the entire face. I am all about glow this season and there are a number of glowy foundation formulas in the market this season, with this foundation it was very easy for me to achieve that look even though it’s matte but it has a velvet finish which gives skin a perfect texture on summer. I love how it covers all the imperfections of the skin and offers a natural looking skin. I like to set my foundation with powders (loose powder) and my favorite always have been Make Up For Ever’s HD Microfinish Powder. They both work well together, and gives me a long-lasting wear.
Overall I love the Ultra HD Foundation from Make Up For Ever and a huge thumbs up for the formula. It has enough coverage to wear it during day time to even out the skin tone plus it’s buildable to full coverage for some especial events. Lasting power is amazing, and I didn’t detect any noticeable scent which is a plus point. Finish is more on the natural side and looks like your skin.
