Here I have a round-up of new Mascaras I have been testing for a couple of months. As much as I love makeup products – mascara is one of the beauty products that I emphasize on its application and, how it turns on my lashes in general. (I do take time to apply my mascara than any other beauty product’s application).
I have long and curled lashes that touch my crease bone and smears most of the time. Baking the crease and brow bone with a loose powder or patting my pale beige eyeshadow helps create a smudge-proof crease for me. Here are some new launches that I have been loving the most.
Charlotte Tilbury just launched her first mascara Pillow Talk Push Up Lashes Volumizing & Lengthening Mascara (C$34 for 10 mL) earlier this fall season which I think you can’t go wrong with her products. This is a mascara that instantly adds volume, length, and lifts lashes with a unique technology brush that I am loving it.
Not only the formula is quite amazing – it is formulated with Kerestore that creates a super-strong conditioning effect on individual hair fiber that creates a thicker look – the brush design has two different sides. One side is flat for loading and coating the lashes and, a bristle side for combing out the lashes makes this very interesting.
As many of you know I always load my lashes with the tip of mascara and then brush it out, this way it gives you that full and volume look without making the lashes look clumpy and adds that fake lash look effect and the more you brush the better the effect.
I find this unique Technology brush makes it super easy to load the product on lashes and the bristles really brushes out the lashes even the smallest lashes at the ends.
YSL Beauty launched the Yves Saint Laurent Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cil (C$41 for 7.5 mL). I have been a long-time lover of this mascara and have gone through quite some of them already. I find YSL Beauty’s mascaras and liners carry that glossiest finish in carbon black pigment that I love to wear.
The brush in this mascara is designed with soft and hard bristles to deposit an ideal amount of products to the lashes where they don’t get clumpy. It gives that opening eye effect look.
Lancôme also launched their famous Monsieur Big Extreme (C$33 for 10 mL) in a more intense formula for ultra dark lashes. Although I find the original formula is quite intense, yet this new formula is super pigmented and gives out that super bold black lashes we all desire.
Monsieur Big has been one of my all-time favorite formulas and now it’s even better. This formula doesn’t flake or smudge as well as it doesn’t clump lashes at all. The more you brush out lashes the better and bulkier it gets.
Last but not least Loreal just introduced their new Air Volume Mega Mascara (C$13.96). I have been the biggest fan of the Loreal mascaras and I know many of you wanted me to recommend a good drugstore mascara. I’ve reviewed my favorite one about a year ago Loving Right Now Mascara Edit which been one of the most loved mascara from drugstore. Yet this one is another amazing hit formula! It offers everything it claims and everything I needed for my lashes.
Side by side look at the brushes for a better look at the mascaras.
I did a side by side comparison with Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk Mascara and it WOWED me. I find the Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk Mascara carries a better brush that helps apply the mascara neatly while you got to pay more attention to Air Volume Mega Mascara during the application.
I find Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk Mascara has a more eye-opening effect and really lifts the lashes to the max while Loreal Paris’s Air Volume Mascara adds a nice volumizing effect. You really pay for what you’re looking for in both of the mascaras.
I hope you find this roundup helpful. I have listed my favorite mascara removers for a nice and smooth process to take off your mascara without pulling out your lashes, as well as my favorite lash curler that I use from time to time to add more curls to my lashes.
