I have been really wanted to try out some cushion foundations for quite some time now and especially since I got my hands to the Skin Caviar Essence in Foundation from La Prairie, plus I wanted to try something that I can wear it on daily basis and with a good amount of SPF. Laneige BB Cushion Hydra Radiance with SPF 50 (C$49.00 for 0.5 oz/ 15 g) was on my radar since a very long time. This is a light weight and hydrating BB cream that is infused with Melacrusher™ to brighten the complexion for a more radiant looking skin. This skin perfecting formula comes in 6 shades to cover all skin tones from lightest to deepest. This BB Cushion Hydra Radiance is a hydrating version of the original BB Cushion which unfortunately I haven’t tried it yet to date.

I have received two shades to try from the brand – Porcelain and Beige which I found beige is a perfect match to my skin. It has a very natural coverage but evens out skin pretty good. The coverage is sheer and you need to correct and conceal any areas on your complexion. I also found that reapplication is must after couple hours of wear but it literally gives skin that nice glow. The color doesn’t oxidize or slide off the skin nor separates, I was really impressed on how amazing it hold on my skin on a hot and humid day. It doesn’t set on lines or wrinkles and pores. I have worn it different ways to see how it works – I found you don’t need any kind of primer or setting powder with this, I love dewy and glowing skin so reapplication didn’t bother me at all. I love how it skin looks fresh and radiant every time you apply.
The applicator sponge is well designed, usually I don’t like to use the sponge since I find they sheer out the product and kind of sacks in product. I was really impressed with the sponge – its thin and absorbs a perfect amount of product to apply to the skin. The packaging is designed in a way that’s travel friendly and you can carry it anywhere with a mirror and a separate spot for the sponge. You do get an extra refill which is supper convenient.
Bottom line, I’m impressed! It’s perfect for every day and summer days where you don’t need to layer you sunscreen and beauty products. It looks natural and feels like skin (definitely much better). I do find there is not enough shades to cover all skin tones but I found my shade which I was supper happy, I don’t know who every one fits in but it does then its amazing. It brightens and evens out the skin and gives that natural glow. You can set it with a powder for a better lasting power. It doesn’t irritate or cause any breakouts and is a perfect solution for dryness and redness. The New BB Cushion Hydra Radiant is now available exclusively in Sephora.
