Decorte | Soft Crème Foundation & Silky Moist Veil Face Powder

The foundation I have been the most excited to try to test this season is the Decorte Soft Crème Foundation & Silky Moist Veil Face Powder. Both Soft Crème Foundation & Silky Moist Veil Face Powder was sent out to me at the begging of spring/summer time this year – I have been in love and obsessed with almost all of the Decorte beauty’s makeup and skin care products that I really wanted to try out some bases from the brand. But unfortunately I found this foundation was not working properly on my skin during spring/summer time

Soft Crème Foundation ($146.00) is a medium natural looking foundation but buildable that comes in jar like packaging. The foundation comes in great range of shades and colors to enhance and cover all skin tones. I find this gives enough coverage to make dark spots and freckles cover in a very natural way. The texture is super creamy which I find its a perfect one during the winter time. I was originally sent out this foundation during the spring/summer time which I had some issue with its lasting power. As many of you I have a dry skin and soft, creamy texture foundations wears best on my skin. I tried number of times during the summer time to give this foundation a test drive but I found it would literally melt into my skin and wouldn’t last long especially during the hot and humid days. But as drier weather approached I knew this foundation would do wonders to my skin.

If you have dry skin and love that natural glowing skin, I’d say this is a base for you.  I have a dry skin and due to colder weather right now I have a super dry skin. I found the Decorte’s Soft Crème Foundation worked best for me during this season. I do really like to use my flat foundation brush to apply this foundation over beauty blender, for me it made this foundation streak free finish and with better coverage. There is a blend of warm and cool under tones and some with golden undertone. I was sent out Cool Ivory (351) from the brand which was a perfect shade to my skin, I feel I could pull of the Warm Ivory much better but I was able to wear the Cool Ivory along with my bronzer very well. The lasting power is quite nice for a cream and glowing foundation. It doesn’t set on fine lines and

I also got to try out their Silky Moist Veil Face Powder ($66.00 for 0.7 oz.) is a translucent loose powder with moisture bonding molecules. This powder feel silky on skin and it literally smooths out the skin. I’ve tried a number of loose powders for the fact that they’re the only powder that I can set my foundation. I personally love dewy finish and usually stay away from powders most of the times. I have a dry skin and powders in general don’t do much for me. It’s challenging to find a powder to not dry out the skin yet to keep the dewy finish of my foundation. This is one of the loose powders that have made an entrance into my every day makeup drawer beside my Skin Caviar Powder from La Prairie. This one gives a nice subtle matte finish look where it’s not matte and non drying.

It comes in with a soft cushioned puff which I have been using to apply the foundation with it, I got try it in misty beige which is a super light beige color. The powder doesn’t add much any kind of coverage which I found it to be universal for light to medium skin tones. There are quite some more shades available for darker skin tones as well. It definitely adds life to the lasting power of your base without feeling dry throughout the day.

At the end, I absolutely loved the Soft Crème Foundation. It’s a foundation that takes me from day to-night looking fresh and natural at the same time. I can definitely will be wearing this fall/winter season for its creamy texture. I do feel reapplication is required after 4-5 hours. At the same time I have been loving the Silky Moist Veil Face Powder to set my foundation. It gives a nice soft blurred effect while sets the foundation for a longer period of time. You can find both products available at Saks Fifth Avenue.
