Clé de Peau Beauté | Collection les Années Folles Holiday 2016

Collection les Années Folles Holiday 2016 from Clé de Peau Beauté’s is a limited edition collaboration with Makeup Creative Director Lucia Pieroni and Pop-Artist Ashley Longshore. Clé de Peau Beauté’s Holiday Collection packaging have been designed with Ashley Longshore’s art creativity. The Arts in the collection are defined as the world’s perception of femininity. I have been a fan of Clé de Peau Beauté’s products for a long time but have never got my hands to the Holiday collections before. This Holiday Collection 2016 is so beautiful and luxurious and the packaging adds a glamorous finish to it. Today I’m reviewing the limited edition Eye Color Palette and the limited edition Lip Color Palettes.

Up first is the limited edition eye color palette $125.00 is a collection of eight eyeshadows in elegant shades from shimmering to matte. The pigment of the shadows is medium pigmented but buildable to full coverage. The shimmers is very fine yet visible on the skin with small little glitters, and I found the matte colors carries a velvety finish, they’re not supper matte. The palette carries a great range of colors to complement all skin tones, from bright intense colors to neutral shades. You can definitely mix the colors to create many different looks with the same palette. I would highly recommend to apply a eyeshadow primer before application, it will not only hold the eyeshadow for longer time but it will show the true colors of the eyeshadows.

The palette comes in a nice and beautiful burgundy velvet pouch and four eyeshadow (two brush and two sponge-tip) applicator is included. And the package itself carries a very sleek finish, the Ashley Longshore’s art at the back of the package speaks itself. It comes with a full size mirror where it makes touch ups easy on the go. I have been playing with the palette for couple of weeks now, and I have now words on how gorgeous this palette looks in person. I think it makes a perfect gift this holiday season for your love ones.

Last but not least the limited edition of rich lip color palette No. 1 Putting on the Ritz and No. 2 Gilded Grape $ 65.00 each are beautiful combination of  lipsticks from long-lasting rouge a lévres lipstick line and lip gloss compacts with luxurious shine. The compacts are packed with velvety rich and silky smooth textures, to create a beautiful ombre effect. The lipsticks carries a nice and soft texture with a medium coverage and a beautiful glow that comes from within. Same with the Lip glosses, I was very impressed on how gorgeous it looked on my lips, since it literally gives lips a beautiful and stunning finish that looks like a glow. It doesn’t feel sticky or chapped while on the lips. The lasting power is pretty good and stays on the lips comfortably without smudging or drying the lips after wear.

• Lip Palette No. 1 Putting on the Ritz – is a beautiful combination of Classic which a beautiful passionate red with velvet finish, and Sophisticated which is a rich coral color with stain finish along with Elegantly glistening golden gloss.
• Lip Palette No. 2Gilded Grape – is a combination of Dee magenta which is a looks as juicy as ripe fruit with velvet finish and Subdued pink shades with a cool soft shimmer and comes in stain finish, along with Silvery gloss with pink pearlescence gloss.

The packaging is very ideal to carry along with you any where and it is accompanied with the double ended application tool, where one side is designed to scoop out the product and use the other end is accompanied with brush. Each limited edition mirrored compact captures a fleeting moment in time. The Putting on the Ritz palette draws attention to Camellias flower which are among the most beautiful flowers in all the world, but they bloom for only a short time in December, which gives a feeling of how special the holiday season truly is. And the Hummingbirds are almost magical at the Gilded Grape’s palette — incredibly energetic yet seemingly still and they do disappear momently after you see, which encouraging you to cherish each remarkable moment fully with passion and love.

Bottom line I was very impressed with the whole collection. I think the packaging is very exquisite and with elegance as well as the product itself. The colors of the eyeshadow palette is limited edition and carries nice warm color to cooler tones. It is a little high in price point where if you’re looking for some thing especial this Holiday season, I would surely recommend to purchase before it’s gone.
