Plus this post will carry my all-time favourite beauty products + some of the spring new launches that I were impressed with and I think you should dry it. This edit consists of my top 5 picks (keeping in mind all aspects of quality, performance and price) yet some may be less or more.

Beauty Insider Seasonal Saving Event starts on 4/9 and ends 4/19 depending on your beauty insider status. You can use the code OMGSPRING in-store and online multiple times.

Primer/Setting Spray

I tried to keep it simple when it comes to complexion products. There were quite some new foundation launches that I was really impressed with and if you’re looking for a new base/foundation I would highly recommend these new options. Yet for many know that I am not a huge lover of powders but I have few Holy grail formulas that don’t dry the skin at all.

I always reach out to a full-coverage formula when it comes to concealer yet with a creamy formula which makes it easy for me to have more control over its coverage whit it doesn’t set on my fine lines and doesn’t look cakey. These ones are my true/test concealers that have never failed.

When it comes to eyeshadow palettes, I like to try some new trendy shades and these new launches will take you to create some nice eye looks.

It’s a WRAP!!! I hope you find this roundup helpful, I tried to get in the best products as much as I could. There is still a lot to discover in this sale. Happy shopping!

Estee Lauder | Futurist Hydra Rescue Moisturizing Makeup SPF 45 & Futurist Aqua Brilliance Watery Glow Primer + Pure Color Illuminating Shine Sheer Shine Lipstick + New Discoveries

I am excited to share some of the latest launches from Estee Lauder plus some of their best-selling beauty products that I got to test and try from the brand. As a base lover, the Double Wear Foundation has been always a hit formula for me. Yet I was super excited to find a new addition to their foundation line that meets my needs at the moment and I really wanted to try it out.

Estee Lauder’s new addition is the Futurist Hydra Rescue Moisturizing Makeup SPF 45 & Futurist Aqua Brilliance Watery Glow Primer. Starting with the Futurist Aqua Brilliance Watery Glow Primer (C$40 for 40mL), it is a lightweight primer that boosts skin moisture by 3X with its two types of hyaluronic acid, skin looks plumped and glowing. You can wear it alone just to add a nice fresh, healthy and plumped look on your skin or under the foundation to maximize the foundation wear + to prep the skin well for the makeup. It doesn’t carry any greasy feeling into it, yet it absorbs immediately.

Up Next is the Futurist Hydra Rescue Moisturizing Makeup (C$45 for 35mL) is your next CC cream that does everything for you to achieve a nice flawless and radiant-looking skin. It is a foundation with breathable coverage and offers a radiant finish powered with skincare benefits + SPF 45 that hydrates, soothes and protects the skin all at once. It’s medium coverage and designed for all skin textures. It comes in 26 shades to cover all skin tones and I found they have a great range of shades for all skin colours.
It’s a perfect foundation to reach out to this Spring/Summer season without giving it another thought. For me, I would say medium + buildable coverage and covers all imperfections, it even out my skin tone while my skin looks radiant, natural with a blurring effect. The lasting power is good but you might need a light powder to set it for longer while I would love to re-apply it after a 5-6 hour wear for a dewy finish.

Here I have a full comparison between the It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream in original finish and the New Futurist Hydra Rescue Moisturizing Foundation.

For me both worked equally on my skin, just there is a preference for texture in the formulation. I also found the finish and coverage on the complexion are equally the same.

Estee Lauder also launched Pure Color Illuminating Shine Lipsticks (C$32). These are a selection of highly hydrating formulas with brilliant shine. The collection comes in 22 beautiful shades covering from sweet peachy and pink nudes to nice bold plum red shades. They’re sheer to medium coverage and glides smoothly over the lips. It feels really comfortable on lips and if you’re someone like me with dry lips and love a shine + light coverage lipsticks then this is for you. I received it in shade Imaginary which is a nice soft peachy nude and I think it’s just a perfect nude colour that I can wear on a daily basis.

In the meantime, I was sent out a selection of best-selling beauty products from Estee Lauder which I was impressed with and wanted to bring it here if you haven’t tried yet. Many know I have an obsession with mascaras and I don’t know how I missed this Mascara!!! this is the Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara, it adds a nice volume + length without any smudge or smear.

I also was super impressed with their Little Black Liner that carries an amazing pigment and lasting power. I loved how this liner comes in dual-ended to achieve 3-way wear. It’s waterproof, smudge-proof and flake-proof and I have experienced it very well.

When it comes to eyeshadow palettes I try to stay within the nude palettes and this was my first time trying out the Pure Color Envy Sculpting Eye Shadow 5-Color Palette in Defiant Nude. Not only that it has that perfect combination of shades to create many beautiful looks but the pigment and finish are just amazing.

I hope you find these new arrivals along with some must-have products interesting. The Sephora Spring Sale is coming and if you’re looking for a good base I would highly recommend this new Futurist Hydra Rescue Moisturizing Makeup.

CND |The Colors of You Collection

CND polish just launched their new Spring VINYL Long Wear Polish Collection The Colors of You. The collection is just gorgeous and with a great selection of shades that are wearable during the springtime. The collection includes beautiful pastel shades all with a nice clean finish. They apply quite nicely and smoothly with quite an opaque texture.
I found two coats cover nails nicely and they dry out fairly well and quickly. They do have a light formula so it adds to its lasting power and doesn’t look thick on nails. I also love and swear by the CND’s Essentials RescueRXX Care Pen & Essentials Solar Oil Care Pen, (full post here).
All swatches below are with two coats.

  • Self-Lover is a nice
  • Mover & Shaker is a cool pink cream
  • Chance Taker is a lovely pastel periwinkle
  • Rule Breaker is a beautiful vibrant coral
  • Smile Maker is a cute soft yellow
  • Change Sparker is a light stone grey shade and perfect for nude nail lovers

You can wear the shades all by it self or you can mix and match the shades for more fun looks. They lasted for a good four days without chipping which is a hit. I do wore them with it’s Top Coat. For me I absolutely adore the entire collection and it’s hard to pick my favorite shades from collection.
