M.A.C Cosmetics launched their spring collection, Cherry Blossom. The collection is limited edition and mainly includes Matte Lipsticks in 3 limited edition shades, Lip Balms in 3 limited edition shades and Blushes in 3 shades. There are few other pieces that come in a limited edition packaging like the Fix+ setting spray, Prep-Prime Lip + Brush Strok liner. The Moon-Bloom packaging is just gorgeous! I have been a long-time lover of M.A.C cosmetics beauty products and I know many of my readers are in the same zone as me.
The Cherry Collection has 3 limited edition matte lipsticks shades that include:
I was sent out 2 out of 3 shades for consideration (Dramarama and Moody Bloom). Which I find are perfect shades for those who like to wear bright shades for the springtime while they make a perfect bold look night looks. I have always loved the matte formula from M.A.C cosmetics. They wear nicely and stay up pretty well without smudging. I can see myself wear the Moody Bloom, it’s one of the perfect red shades that go well with my skin tone.
As a lip balm lover, I always look into a good hydrating balm formula with a nice tint + glow, and I am super happy to say that this has everything I need to complete my everyday look. Fleur Welcome is a perfect pinky red that brings up a nice natural look to the lips with enough shine. This would be one of the lip balms I would want to wear and carry in my spring makeup up bag to pick up my mood.
Extra Dimension Blush comes in 3 limited shades which I find the entire selection is gorgeous and the shade Under My Plum is just Stunning! This is one of the shades I have never had the courage to wear but it looks stunning on all skin tones. The blush carries nice fine shimmers that add a nice glow to the skin as well as it blends smoothly over the complexion without feeling powdery at all.
The entire collection is just gorgeous and if you’re a beauty collector or looking for some nice spring collection I would highly recommend to grab your items before its gone. I found some of the items are already sold out online yet you might get lucky to find them in stores.
Laura Mercier just introduced 4 new shades to her iconic Blush Color Infusion collection. These are long-wearing blushes with sheer coverage but buildable. Throughout my blogging life + before I, unfortunately, missed on her blushers. I have tried everything from her complexion except her blushers. But it’s not too late, I am glad I did found out about them.
The team kindly send out 3 out of 4 shades for me to preview. There is a new addition to the matte finish (Bellini), one addition to the shimmer finish (Passionfruit) and two new shades been added with a natural finish that is all-new (Watermelon). I find all the new shades are different and not identical to any old ones. The newly added shades are fresh and are perfect for the spring season.
Bellini is a nice peachy coral in a matte finish
Watermelon is a cute soft pink with shimmers probably my favourite colour to wear
Passionfruit is a soft warm coral luminescent pink
They carry a nice silky smooth texture that feels pleasant on the skin while it adds a nice flush of colour to the skin for the most natural look. Although they’re sheer coverage you can buildup the colour to your taste without feeling powdery at all. The blushes blend seamlessly with a diffused pigment and apply nicely with a medium fluffy brush. I love wearing blushers, I think they add life and freshness to the skin and I personally love shades that brighten my face, depending on my makeup look. I find all shades are wearable and go pretty well with all skin tones. The Blush Color Infusion comes in the same sleek iconic mirror compact.
I have been reaching out more to the Watermelon shade for the past week. It gives a nice soft pinky shade with a nice subtle glow that I like to wear all the time. Lasting power is excellent. It lasted on me for almost all day, without any touchups.
Givenchy Beauty just introduced the new Prisme Libre Skin-Caring Glow Foundation (C$60.00). I got very excited to try this new base from one of my favourite brands Givenchy Beauty. I have had tested and tried other beauty items from Givenchy Beauty which has impressed me yet I always missed on the bases/foundation.
This is a skin-loving foundation that offers light to medium coverage with skincare benefits that makes your skin GLOW. The finish is flawless and the skin looks fresh and perfected while wears quite comfortable on the skin. The Prisme Libre Skin-Caring Glow Foundation comes in 30 shades to cover all skin tones.
As many of you know I like to wear bases that evens out my skin while looks natural. I no longer can wear heavy and thick formulas that emphasize fine lines and wrinkles. Although I can manage to wear few full-coverage formulas only from time to time on events. My on-the-go foundation has to be light, buildable, hydrating + non-greasy and this foundation meets it all.
I received them in two shades N250 (light to medium with neutral undertones) & N270 (light to medium with intense neutral undertones) and I was amazed at how well they both matched my skin. N250 swatched below on my skin which is a perfect shade for time being while the N270 is going to be perfect for summertime when I get slightly darker. You can notice below (before/After) that my skin looks more even, smoother with a nice glow that looks natural + it looks like my skin, I wasn’t able to detect any trace of foundation on my skin.
I tested both with powder and without powder, and I found it stays much better with a light loose powder (I tried it with the Prisme Libre Loose Powder and it looks amazing).
I love how the formula lasted my skin. It’s one of the formulas that I can wear comfortably and confidently + want to keep in my current makeup drawer for everyday use. I have linked some of my favourite products from Givenchy below. Its available at Sephora.
