Summer Sunscreen Favorites for Face & Body

Excited to share a roundup of sunscreen I’ve been loving right now. It’s been a while since I have shared a wider review of sun protection. I love wearing sunscreen and it’s included in my daily skincare routine that is why I am really particular about what I put in my skin. I don’t spend time at the beach but I do get to use body sunscreen on my arms and legs when I am out of the house or on the poolside during the summertime. Today I am covering a range of affordable as well as high-end options.

Sunscreen For Face

Cle de Peau Beauty

UV Protective Cream SPF50 from Cle de Peau Beauty has been on my radar since its launch date and I was super excited to see how this works on skin as I am a huge lover of their skin and beauty products. Their formulas are quite promising.

It is lightweight that comes in a clear cream formulation. It is designed for all skin types and is infused with Hyaluronic Acid as well as Mangosteen Extract and Hibiscus Sabdariffa Flower Essence that helps with the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles. It immediately dries down and doesn’t leave any white cast at all. I must say I am very impressed with the formula. It adds a nice radiance and the foundation goes on very well.

La Prairie

Cellular Swiss UV Protection Veil 50++ has been one of my all-time favourite sunscreens for years now and how it wears on bare skin as well as under the makeup. I personally use it as my finishing moisturizer during the summertime as it doesn’t have a white cast and I love how it adds a nice glow to my skin. It does have a thicker texture compared to Cle de Peau’s Sunscreen but both finish the skin with a nice radiance.

Shiseido

I am a huge fan of Shiseido sunscreens in general, here I have got a full review on some of their Sun protection products here and this time they have launched a new formula Urban Environment Vita-Clear Sunscreen SPF 42 which is a lightweight invisible formula with dual care (protects UV Rays and brightens up the skin). The formula is infused with a Vitamin C Derivative that supports the skin against pre-melanin. It dries down quite fast on the skin and leaves the skin smooth and radiant. keeping in mind that this needs a good shake before its use.

The Clear Sunscreen Stick SPF 50 is one of my all-time favourite formulas to use while on the go, especially during summer days. Not only it wears easily and is very convenient to carry around for reapplication purposes – but it also wears beautifully on top of your makeup with any distribution.

La Roche-Pose

Finally, I was able to try the new Anthelios Ultra-Fluid SPF 50+ Facial Sunscreen. I have heard great reviews and the formulas seemed quite nice. The texture is runny but supper light and non-slippery. It gets into the skin immediately and doesn’t leaves a white cast on the skin and is lightly scented. Here is a look at its formulation.

Drometrizole Trisiloxane (Mexoryl XL) 7%, Bemotrizinol 5%, Octisalate 5%, Octocrylene 5%, Avobenzone 3%, Homosalate 2%, Ensulizole 0.5%

Sunscreen For Body

For the body, I prefer cream formulas over the spray version as I don’t feel comfortable with the application method. We as a family have been loving the Vichy Capital Soleil SPF60 Sport which is ultra-light and applies nicely over dry or wet skin. I love it doesnt leave a white cast, doesn’t have a strong scent and very easy to distrubute on the skin. My kids are quite active and I get to stay out with them and this is defintily a favorite for hot summer days.

I also got to try the new Anthelios XL Lotion SPF 60 which is a fragrance and paraben-free formula. It is lightweight and with dry touch finish as well as it doesn’t leave a white cast at all. I love that it’s in one kind of formula – especially as Yousuf is super active, and this is one formula I place in his bag and he is good to go for face and body during his practices and tournaments.
