Today for review post is the new Bronzed Collection from Nars Cosmetics. Nars beauty collections are always beautiful and practical for the season at the same time. The new Summer Bronzed collection is all about bronzy and effortless vibe with some pop of colour for those bright colour lovers. The collection consists of some limited edition beauty products for summertime while there are some new additions of shades and a new permanent beauty line.
The collection’s hottest product is the Paradise Found Bronzing Powder ($60.00 for 16g) limited edition and it’s absolutely stunning. It’s an oversized Limited Edition Bronzer compact that comes in the most famous original cult-classic Laguna shade in the collection. It carries a nice shimmering sand-wave design with NARS signature French Polynesian Monoï de Tahiti oils scent, which gives that pleasant sweet summer smell. The formula is lightweight and adds that extra shimmery finish to the skin. It’s definitely a nice way to add that extra glow to the complexion with this bronzer.
The compact itself is just stunning! it’s a nice big compact with a good size mirror that can be used for touch up while on the go.
At the same time, Nars has introduced and added new shades to its Iconic Bronzing Powder (C$50.00) that now comes in a new packaging and new matte bronzing formula that is perfect for bronze and sculpt the complexion. The new packaging is just on point with black velvet texture finish compact with brands logo on it with a very sleek packaging that is easy to carry along with you in your makeup bag easily.
Side by side comparison swatches of all three formulas.
The Original bronzing powder formula now comes in two more new shades that including the San Juan which is a nice light bronze with golden shimmers for the lightest skin tone and Punta Cana that is a rich mahogany brown colour with golden shimmers perfect for the deepest skin tones. The whole collection of Bronzer is infused with fine golden shimmers to create an all-over warmth to the skin. I absolutely loved the finish, I received it in Laguna shade which is one of the most famous shades in the collection and it goes very well with many complexions. You can easily build up the texture depending to your taste.
While the Matte Bronzer is a new formula that comes in four shades to cover all skin textures. The new matte formula is amazing, the blends nicely and layers beautifully giving the complexion that dimension for a sculpt and contour look. I received it in the shade Vallarta that is perfect for my skin tone and love how the colour doesn’t turn orange.
I actually really enjoy contouring my complexion with the matte bronzer and original formula all over my complexion for an overall bronzed looked, and it literally gives me that sun-kissed glow that I like for the summer season.
Up next are the Powerchrome Loose Eye Pigments (C437 each) are intensely pigmented eyeshadow pots. The formula has a cream-like texture that goes nicely over the eyelids. There are fewer fallouts with these pigment shadows compared to all other formulas I have tried. There are four limited edition colours in this collection:
- Castaway is a beautiful translucent white with orange pearls that is stunning.
- Islamorada is a stunning turquoise colors that is perfect for color lovers.
- Stricken is a blackened red color that is perfect for neutral lovers. I absolutely love it.
- Shock’em is a nice rose gold with shimmers.
I got to try them in my favourite colours. Both Castaway and Stricken are loaded with fine and chunky shimmers that are beautiful on eyelids. They apply well with fingertips as well as a dense flat brush but I loved using my fingertips. It’s easy to apply while it melts into the lids immediately without any fallouts. The lasting power is quite amazing and I find it super easy to reapply when needed. You can also easily layer them on top of each other for extra dimension.
Last is the new Oil Infused Lip Tints (C$34 each) are the most amazing formulas I have tried. They glide on beautifully and evenly without feeling greasy. It comes in two limited-edition shades:
I find you can’t go wrong with any of the colours, they are both very beautiful in their own way. I have been enjoying wearing the Laguna shade for that bronzy look on top of my nude lip liner. The formula is infused with Pomegranate Extract that leaves lips hydrated all day long.
hat wraps up the NARS Bronze Collection. I think items in this collection are very pretty and the formulas are just on point. I feel it’s a perfect bronze collection from the summertime. You can get easily that flawless summer look with this collection, the beauty items are practical and is perfect for all ages. I find their bronzer’s formula is very well put together for both original and matte finish and if you’re looking for a bronzer to give you an all-over bronze look I suggest getting the original formula but if you are using it to sculpt and contour I highly suggest the matte finish one, it’s amazing!
At the same time, if you love shimmers and glitters on your eyes and something that you can wear during the day, the new Powerchrome pots are the best. There aren’t many fallouts, it’s easy to apply while you can wear it on daily basis. The new Oil Infused lip formula is nice, and if you’re into that nice glossy finish lips I think both shades are absolutely stunning. You can now find all this newness from Nars in-store at Sephora, Hudson’s Bay, Nordstrom, BeautyBOUTIQUE and online at Sephora, and Narscosmetics.ca.
