Elizabeth Arden have launched two new make up collection Tropical Escape Colour and Eyes wide Open Colour Collection. The Tropical Escape Colour Collection carries more tropical, sun-kissed and warm colors. The collection was inspired by the vibrant and lustrous hues of the tropics to give a radiant and sun kissed look this summer time. And the Eyes wide Open Colour Collection is all about bold and ticker lashes and eyebrows to create a wider eye looks.
The Tropical Escape Colour Collection
FourEver Bronze Bronzing Powder (C$45.00) is a four-color bronzing compact that features an ultra refined highlighting, blush, contouring and bronzing powders along with plush half-moon brush. These Bronzing compact comes in two colors – Medium and Deep to enhance all skin tones. The texture is very light and matte finish. This is a good on the go compact especially for those who likes to enhance and sculpt the face naturally. You can apply each color individually using a smaller blush brush or wear them together using a powder brush to add a nice warmth to the complexion. I personally prefer to use my own brushes over the brush that comes in with the compact since I find a nice fluffy blush or powder brush blends the powders evenly to the skin. All the colors gives a medium coverage, they’re not too intense. The highlighter offers a very subtle glow with a satiny finish, the blush add a nice peachy pink color for a washed out and healthy looking cheeks where you can use the darker bronzing color to really define and sculpt the face and the light color adds warmth to the outer frame of the face. Or get a big powder brush swirl around and add warmth to the frame of the face for a nice glowing bronzed look.
The compact comes in a very nice bronze matte finish case with a good size mirror for touch ups. Its sleek and lightweight where it makes it easy to carry it while you’re on the go.
Sheer Kissed Lip Oils (C$25.00) is a luscious tinted lip oil that offers a nice glow to the lips with medium coverage. These carries a very creamy yet lightweight texture. The Sheer Kissed Lip Oil comes in six beautiful colors (Coral, Red, Pink, Watermelon, Purple and Neutral). I love how they don’t feel greasy or oily on the lips. The lasting power is pretty good, while it adds a nice glow to the lips after couple of hours of wear. They’re infused with Coconut oil and Avocado oil to keep lips hydrated and soft. The packaging of these lip oils reminds me of the Estee Lauder’s lip oils that were launched about two years ago. It’s very convenient with easy application and too cute to carry them around.
Dare to Bare Body Bronzing Oil (C$45.00) is an illumination bronzing body oil that gives skin a nice and subtle glow. The formula is light and carries a fine golden shimmer for a warm and youthful glow from head to toe. If you’re someone like me carries dry skin and are into oils, this is definitely some thing you want to try this summer. It doesn’t feel oily at all and literally gives skin a nice luminous glow. Perfect for all skin tones. You have to make sure to give it a good shake before applying.
TIP: Add a drop to your foundation for a glowing and radiant looking skin. 
The Eyes Wild Open Color Collection
Lasting Impression Mascara (C$32.00) gives lashes an exceptional length and definition. It comes in two colors – Lasting Black (is the blackest color) and Lasting Brown (is a dark brown color). The brush comes in a very unique design where it grabs the lashes in a way that it defines, adds length as well as volume to the lashes. I loved this for the fact it doesn’t clog the lashes, the formula is very creamy. I’m not a fake lash person, I love to use mascara in a way to create more like fake lash look.
TIP: try to get less product but keep combing the lashes to the point where they look like fake lashes.
Statement Brow (C$32.00) is a setting and grooming tinted gel brow mascara. It comes in four versatile colors to enhance all hair colors. It’s an all in one tinted brow gel that grooms, conditions, fills and shapes. It’s very easy to apply while it keeps the brows in place all day long. I think it’s perfect for those with thinker and filler eyebrow as well as you can fill in your brows and go over with this gel to keep things in place. I actually have never used a brow gel before and after testing this, I loved this it. I have a more evenly separated hairs on my brows, where I do fill them out on daily basis to give my face a nice frame. But I have been using this gel lately for every day look alone just to give my brows some color and make them stay on their place and have been filling my eyebrows with Make Up For Ever’s Pro Sculpting Brow Palette and applying the Statement Brow Gel for night looks or in events. I have been very impressed with this product. 
Bottom line this was my first time going over Elizabeth Arden’s makeup collection and I have been very impressed with quality and performance of these beauty products. Both collections are pretty amazing and practical for this summer season. The Tropical Escape Colour and Eyes wide Open Colour Collection are available this June at Hudson’s Bay and Shopper’s Drug Mart.
