Here is the latest from Dior makeup – Dior just introduced a new formula to their Addict lipstick line – Addict Lacquer Plump and new shades to their Dior Addict Gel Lacquer. There were quite few new release and launches from Dior this year especially to their lip line. Dior also launched a new Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet Roller-Pearl for this season. All the new launches and releases were supper amazing and its disparately hard to pass by any of the launches easily.
First look at the Dior Addict Lacquer Plum (C$43 for 5.5 ml). These are highly pigment lip ink that works like a tattoo with plumping formula that gets into the action upon contact. A breakthrough from the Dior laboratories, this new lipstick is the perfect makeup and skin care hybrid. Giving lips that bold colour and radiant lacquer finish. The texture feels soft and smooth, while it leaves a nice tint on the lips for up to 8 hours. Peter Philips Creative and Image Director For Dior Makeup describes this as “It is intensely colourful and long-lasting with unique radiance and shine effects, while its light texture provides incredible comfort.” I found the statement really defines the product well. The pluming gives lips a more fuller look illusion. It’s formulated with natural hibiscus extract for a voluminous lip look and shaping effect. It gives lips that nice luminous and fresh look that is perfect for those Spring and Summer days. I found the color does interact with your lips chemistry where you’re left with a nice tint that comes from within.
I found these to be one of super hydrating and lustrous formulas by far. I immediately put the shade Dior Pretty in my on the go pack just right after first round of testing. These new Dior Addict Lacquer Plum formula are very iimpressive. The packing is instantly beautiful and lux looking. There are sixteen beautiful colours (some shades are exclusive at Sephora) and categorized in three section: Classic, Neon and Glitters. I received four shades from the brand which includes:
- Dior Pretty which is one of the IT shades from the collection and is a very beautiful rosewood shades that can be worn day and night (Classic)
- D-Fancy is a bold chocolate shades that comes with high shine finish (Classic)
- Dior Freak is bright pastel tangy peach shade from (Neons collection)
- Fireworks is a deep coral shade that comes in with golden glitters (Glitter)
There is also new additions to the Dior Addict family – Dior Addict Lacquer Sticks collection is introducing 6 new shades. Dior Addict Lacquer Sticks were launched last year fully reviewed here, I found the formula to be one of the most hydrating lipsticks with a very creamy and soft texture. I received only three new shades to try. These four new shades comes in Glittery finish and two Satin finish, remember 2018 is all about glow and glitters.
- Stargirl – is a beautiful pale pink that adds a high shine to your lips. You may want line the lips for more fuller illusion look.
- Rising Star – this is a glittery nude shades that is a perfect every day and night color. If you’re a Nude lipstick lover you are going to love this.
- Studio – is a beautiful glittery orange-red that looks amazing on all skin tones.
Dior also introduced a new Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet Roller Pear (limited edition and exclusive at Shoppers Drug Mart and Parma Prix) with a very chic and romantic style. I personally obsessed over the Dior fragrances and this one carries that light and sensual floral scent which is very charming.
