Shu Uemura | The Cleansing Oils Poineer collection

I was thrilled to try out the Oil Cleansing collection from Shu Uemura for the first time. This cleansing oil initially was introduced in 1967 to remove even the heaviest Holly wood stage makeup from without damaging actresses skin as it gets described. This is a cleaning oil that clears away oils and impurities without drying the skin. It easily removes the makeup without leaving the skin dry at all. The collection carries a range of different cleansing oils that is designed for different skin tones and texture from very dry and sensitive to oily skin. The Cleansing Oil Poineer collection comes in:

Up first is the Ultime8 Sublime Cleanisng Oil  (C$49 for 150 ml) is a cleansing oil that  removes makeup and impurities with your drying the skin or leaving any kind of residue on the complexion.  It delivers a softer and smoother skin with in minutes. It is infused with eight precious botanical oils for a cashmere soft looking skin. It is designed for a dry skin, where the texture is more on the oily side. This is probably one of the best cleansing oils that I have used by far. I love how it doesn’t leave the skin dry and conditions the lashes after wearing those water proof mascaras all day long.

Up next is the Anti/Oxi Skin Refining Cleansing OIl  (C$46 for 148 ml) is a cleansing oil that is powered with antioxidant. This is a cleansing oil that is designed for normal and aging skin which is one of the best-selling cleansing oil from the collection. This Anti/Oxi Skin Refining cleansing oil is infused with green tea and moringa extract which instantly clears pollutants that accelerate aging stress on the complexion. The combination of elemi, mandarin and ginger not only brightens and awakens the skin it also provides a refreshing and relaxing sensation right in the morning. The cleanser is designed to reduce dullness and the combination of moringa and green tea gives a glowing and more refined and smooth looking skin.

Up next is the POREfinist2 Sakura Fresh Cleansing Oil (C$42 for 150 ml) is a cleansing oil that washes off the most stubborn makeup easily. It easily penetrate into the skin and rise off, leaving fresh and pore less looking skin. This cleansing oil is designed for normal to oily skin types and acne-prone skin. It also helps with blackheads and excess sebum on skin. The formula is also infused with cinnamon bark extract which helps to regulate the sebum secretion day by day. The skin looks and feels smoother and softer in a period of time. The texture of the POREfinist2 Sakura Fresh Cleansing Oil is a little thicker than the rest of the cleansing oils.

Last but not least is the Nutri:nectar Cleansing Oil in Emulsion (C$46 for 150 ml) is a cleansing oil that is a unique oil in emulsion skin purifier that not only removes the makeup and purifies the skin it also promotes a softer and refined skin. This is a new product that was introduced from the brand in celebration of their 50th anniversary of cleansing oils. Its designed for more dedicated and more sensitive skin which is infused with essential oils. The formula contains calming Acai, replenishing Magnolia and Reishi Mushroom which reboot skin barrier function while resisting the environmental stress. What makes this product very unique is that it’s designed to work on all skin types and textures as well as the formula is make with 98% natural ingredient.

There are quite some more cleansing oils from the brand that targets all other skin types. But I found that these four Cleansing Oils covers all skin types and textures. I have been really pleased with the performance of these cleansing oils. I have tested give them all a test to see in detail on how it works, I found they all works amazingly. The POREfinist2 keeps control over the oily part of skin, where I think its perfect for those with oily skin but still unlike other cleansers the skin doesn’t feel dry at all. My favorite from the collection is the Ultime8 Sublime Cleanisng Oil which keeps my skin nice smooth and hydrated after cleansing, and keeps the lashes conditioned. I’m personally obsessed over these cleansing oils. The Cleansing Oil Poineer collection is available in store and online at Sephora.
