It Cosmetics | Your Skin But Better CC+ Illumination

It Cosmetics introduces Your Skin But Better CC+ Illuminating Cream with SPF 50+ (C$49.00) which is an all in one cream. This CC+ cream covers all steps you need just in one single swipe – color correcting, anti-aging skin care serum , a tinted cream with SPF 50+ sunscreen and illuminator. It delivers a flawless skin with a perfect amount of coverage you need on daily basis plus you get a good amount of sunscreen to protect your skin from UVA/UVB for your day. It provides intense hydration and support improved appearance in skin texture. The texture is creamy but very light where it melts into the skin and blends naturally. I have been a true lover for the Your Skin But Better CC+ cream since last year (reviewed here) and this time my excitement level went up when I found that now it comes in illuminating finish.

This new CC+ Illumination comes in 7 shades to cover all skin tones which I find most of the shades really cover all skin tones from fairest to deepest. I’ve got to try it in shade Light which is a perfect shade for my skin tone. It sets beautifully on skin, feeling like your skin but definitely better and once blended, it gives the face that nice and youthful glow without looking oily, greasy or too dewy.

I’m always about that glowing skin all year-long – this CC+ Illumination cream is infused with proprietary Drops of Light Technology for a very subtle touch of radiance. Take a closer look at the swatches there isn’t much difference between the regular CC+ cream and the CC+ illumination cream at all but you’ll be able to see the difference when applied fully on skin. The illuminating glow is very subtle and natural that comes from within. It literally camouflage imperfections – skin looks brighter, more even.
I do have dark spots all over my face and this covers them all and creates a more even skin that looks natural. You may notice a smoother and softer skin after using this for 3 to 4 weeks which could be the result of the advanced anti-aging serum that is made of hydrolyzed collagen, peptides, vitamins and antioxidants that works toward diminishing the look of fine lines and large pores.
For lasting power it stays input all day, however this cream is super hydrating and since I do touch up my face (or my 16 months touches my face a lot) I do need to touch-up slightly over the T-zone area but it doesn’t slide off or look like it separated in any areas. It doesn’t oxidize and stays true to its color all day long.

Although it claims that its full coverage but I consider this as a medium coverage but buildable, I personally love natural looking skin as long as I get an even out skin and if you’re some one like me who likes the natural look, I think this is perfect. It evens out the skin while adds that nice subtle radiance you need for a healthy looking skin yet if you’re some one who likes the heavy look of full coverage foundation, this may not do the job for you. The packaging looks the same as the original CC+ cream but with a very cute metallic pink shade tube and a metal pump with a cap at the end.

How I wear it? I like to use a peachy concealer under my eye area to cover my dark circles before using this CC+ Cream and (one pump for a light coverage and second pump to layer for more coverage) of this CC+ cream all over my face and neck area with a stabling brush. Using a Beauty Blender will sheer out the cream and you’ll not get a better coverage with it. I do go over with my liquid concealer (optional – some times when I go to gatherings only) over my under eye area to brighten a little more otherwise it literally gives a perfect finish by itself. I love the dewy finish of this cream so I always skip setting it with a powder. I always go over my foundation or CC cream with a big fluffy soft powder brush all over my face at the end to get that air brushed look – try it and you’ll love that even out look with this technique.

At the end I love it. I was already a huge fun of the original CC+ cream and this is another hit every day CC cream for me especially for this time of year. It evens out the complexion with a good coverage and the skin care aspect does improve skin in terms of hydration and making it look smoother and radiant. I fell its perfect for all skin textures but if you like some like this but in matte finish, I recently found It Cosmetics just introduced a newer version of this CC+ cream in matte finish which is perfect for those with oily skin. It stays input as long as you’re ok with a quick touch-up throughout the day or you can always set it with a nice setting powder to lock it all day long. I know I will be using this entirely, I love it for the fact that it keeps my skin hydrated and covers my SPF for the day.
