I’ve been testing out the LED Light Therapy Face Mask: Series 2 from CurrentBody for the past two months. I love basic and effective treatments at the convenience of my home. I’ve had the experience to get some light therapy at the skincare clinics before however – i was very excited to use the device at home which is convenient and affordable.
Before i share my thoughts and experience here is a little about what is light therapy and the CurrentBody Face Mask Series 2. LED Light Therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses different wavelengths of lights to stimulate cellular activity within the skin – helps boost collagen production which helps with fine lines and wrinkles as well as skin concerns like acne, and inflammation.

CurrentBody is a brand that is known for LED Light Therapy Treatment and they recently introduced the Series 2 Face Mask which is a better version of Series 1 that cover the chin area, flexible silicone shape for the best fit possible with added lip and nose coverage.

I’ve been using the LED Light Therapy Face Mask: Series 2 for the past two months and to be honest for the first month I was only using it twice a week + due to loss of my dad I was not consistent with its use. With any kind of skincare treatment consistency and patience is the key. I did notice a huge difference on my skin texture and sunspots after 4 weeks. My skin started to look and feel firmer and my sun spots started to fade. Yet, after seeing the results I started to use the mask more on regular basis 4 times a week for the past 3 weeks and my skin so much better than before.
The CurrentBody Face Mask uses 236 LEDs emit the 3 most clinically recognized wavelengths for anti-ageing, penetrating up to 10mm into the skin:
- Red light (633nm): Boosts collagen production, reducing fine lines and wrinkles
- Near-infrared (830nm): Energizes cells to firm, tighten and brighten skin
- Deep near-infrared (1072nm): Targets areas where signs of ageing are more pronounced, boosting collagen production deep under the skin.
The Series 2 has extra LED bulbs with improved layout and added chin strap that fits better on face. The mask is made with flexible liquid silicone that fits all face shapes. It’s lightweight and comfortable to wear with multiway strap and something i love is the clip on controller that makes it easy to use it while on the go.

The bulbs are bright but safe or the eyes and you can wear it without goggles, yet the mask do come with eye inserts to make reading or watching TV easier and i find it helps with blocking the light to the eyes as well. It comes with power remote which is timed to shut off automatically at the 10 minute mark.
The skin has to be squeaky clean before use, and recommended to use 3-5 times a week to see results. They recommend you to do a patch test on your arm for first time before trying it out on your face. For me, I had no irritation or any other issues. Its painless and no tingles.

Overall I’m really impressed with CurrentBody Face Mask. I can’t wait to share more of my experience with you all as I use more.
