When it comes to creating an elegant and airy look, drapes makes huge difference. For me, I’ve always had drapes around my entire home but of course every 10 to 15 year the trends changes so it needs an update. The process of getting the measurements to placing the order, to getting them in on my door step was a breeze. Here I am sharing my measurements and details on what I ordered.
I am really picky when it comes to choosing colors and textures, I need to see it and feel it. As I was not sure on the color and product it self, I was offered to get product samples of drapes I was interested within two week frame by the brand. It made it so easy to chose color and see the fabric it self. I personally was interested in these 3 fabric styles:
- Liz Linen is a high quality heavy line fabric that is anti wrinkle and easy to maintain.
- Flynn Airy is a translucent quality fabric that allows natural light to filter through. The fabric is airy and makes it easy to hang. You can do entire room with this or add as an accent drape to complement color and textures to the room.
- Selman is a 100% silk fabric with a slight sheen into it. It’s light weight and durable.
The key for making the window treatments look elegant is hanging them closer to the ceiling and as full as possible. My window frame is 98 inches tall and I needed 2 inches for my rods to be installed.
I have 10 foot ceiling in the main floor with open concept style but my windows has frame over the windows. I have 3 set of windows in 3 rooms (living room, dinning room and kitchen). I ordered two panels for each room with Liz Linen Drape fabric in Beige White shade with triple pleated (75% shading & memory training).
Meansurements:
Living Room – Length 96 inches / Width 96 inches (2 panels)
Dinning Room – Length 96 inches/ Width 60 inches (2 panels) the width of my window frame is around 32 inches
Kitchen – Length 96 inches / Width 44 inches (2 panels) the width of my 55 inches but the I only wanted to cover the side wall which the width is around 23 inches
The process of the ordering is very simple as long as you have your measurements, it only takes few minutes to order. For me, it took less than two weeks to get my order and it game directly at my doorstep. They come in folded neatly and packaged inside a plastic bag so they are secured from any kind of environment damage. The package has every thing you need to hang the curtains, like adjustable hooks where you can adjust the length of the curtains on how you want hand them.

I don’t change things around my home as often, I like to keep them simple and classic but I’ve added few new decor pieces and as the season is changes, I like to add a new home scent which is a ritual in my household.
