Laneige | Water Sleeping Mask & Lip Sleeping Mask

I have been a true lover for Laneige skin care products from a very long time now, their Water Bank Hydrating skin (reviewed here) care line have been one of the most loving hydrating skin care I tried during the fall season last year. Laneige is one of my favorite K-Beauty lines and I truly trust their products. I was supper excited when I got to get my hands on these newly formulated products from the brands. The Water Sleeping Mask have been one of the most awarded hydrating mask since 2013 and they just launched a Lip Sleeping Mask exclusively for Sephora. These masks come by itself and for a limited time they come together as a Good Night kit. On that note today I’m reviewing:

Up first is the Water Sleeping Mask (C$30.00 for 2.7 oz) is a leave in over night hydrating mask that gets into the skin immediately and works while you sleep for a well hydrated and baby soft skin in the morning. The mask carries a gel like texture that works like a protective film on skin, which revitalize the skin over night. The Water Sleeping Mask is infused with evening primrose and Hunza apricot extracts which enhances skin’s recovery ability, purify and detoxify skin from impurities and improve skin’s texture and tone by reducing dead surface skin. It’s designed to work on all skin types even sensitive. As many of you know by now that I have a very dry skin to begin with – oils and hydrating mask are saver to my dry and sensitive skin. I have been a true lover for the Black Tea Over Night Firming Mask from Fresh Beauty as well as the Pink Peony Over Night Water Pack Mask from Estee Edit for a while now. Both are very different from each other in terms of texture but it literally give the same results, in compare to these masks the Water Sleeping Mask is very close to the Pink Peony Over Night Water Pack Mask from Estee Edit but in faction of price plus you get twice amount of product. It comes in a light blue glass jar packaging where it’s easy to scoop out a good amount of product to apply. I would advice to apply a very thin layer over all your face and neck area and about 30 – 20 minutes before going to sleep, that way the product really gets into the skin and settles down before it gets into your pillow cases. Using this 2-3x a week, you’ll see a huge difference in overall texture of the skin in couple of weeks, especially if you’re having a dry skin.

Up next is the Lip Sleeping Mask (C$24.00 for 0.7 oz) leave in hydrating lip mask that soothes and moisturizer the lips for a more supple lips overnight. It’s light and doesn’t feel heavy or greasy on the lips and carries a very creamy balm like texture. It’s definitely a solution for dry lips especially during this cold and dry winter months. It’s infused with Vitamin C and antioxidants which nourishes and keeps the lips hydrated while you’re deep in sleep. Its formulated with a blend of raspberry, strawberry, cranberry and blueberry which gives the mask a soft and sweet scent. It comes in a beautiful baby peachy pink glass jar, where it makes this mask look very cute on top of your vanity. A rubbery lip applicator comes along with this lips mask where it makes easy to scoop out a perfect amount of product from the jar where it applies the mask beautifully over all lips.
I was really ready for find out how the mask would feel and the stay on the lips all night long and if it really works. I usually have dry and chapped lips, I do try to keep the lips well hydrated with some of my favorite lips balms and lip oils as well as I do exfoliate on weekly basis trying to take out those dry patches off my lips especially if I have an event coming on my way on the weekends. My first impression with this mask was wow, you get a nice plumb lips within one use and it stays on lips all nigh long. I have been using this hydrating mask 2x-3x a week and I have been so happy with the outcome. It works like a protected film over the lips to lock in moisture while you’re sleeping and waking up for a soft and supple lips in the morning. It does look like it carries a very soft color but it doesn’t show in the lips.

Bottom line, a huge thumbs up for both products. I’m so happy that I found another great sleeping mask that is gentle on my sensitive skin while it works magic on keeping the skin well hydrated and soft. I feel like a sleeping mask is always a good idea especially if you have a dry and sensitive skin. It’s always gentle and gives you that plumped skin look all year-long. This was first time using a mask for lips, which I was very carious about. I would say it’s a must if you have a dry lips. It works like wonders on your lips for that soft baby like lips in the morning, as well as it does helps with fine lines and wrinkles on your lips offering a plump looked lips. I was very pleased with these masks in all means. And as the Holiday season is just right here, this makes a perfect gift for any lady in your life, comes in holiday packaging which makes it perfect for gifting. You can find these masks in Sephora as well as Laneige.ca.

Many thank to the Laneige team for sending the Sleeping Face and Lip Mask for reviewing purposes.
