YSL Beauty recently added some new items to their Eye makeup line, including new mascara, eyeliner and Touche Éclat Shimmer Stick . All of the items are beautifully packaged in sleek and modern looking finishes. As a beauty blogger I usually am not able to finish up a beauty product but mascaras are one of the beauty items that I run out frequently plus I do use them in pairs. I’ve been playing with some of the new items for a few weeks now and all I can say is I’m in love!
The Volume Effet Faux Cils Mascara (C$41.00) comes in two shades, High Density Black No. 1 and Blue No. 3, I have been testing out the High Density Black is a true black shade while the Blue is a nice navy color and I was really impressed on how easily it defines the lashes. Its probably not the thickest most volumizing mascara I have used but it does add a very good volume and zero clump. The color is true black and stays the same deep color once it dries out. I didn’t have any smudging or flaking and it came off the lashes easily at the end of the day with my Marcelle eye makeup remover. The brush grabs the lashes easily, and layers beautifully.
The formula is enriched with pro-vitamin B5 which conditions lashes leaving them thicker with it helps lashes strengthen over time. I will report on how well it have strengthen my lashes over a period of time. I loved how it really spreads out the lashes making them look more spiky.
Couture Eyeliner (C46.00) is a 24 hour smudged proof liquid liner that has a pointed felt tip applicator. This liner comes in nine shades and now this time its available in Black Stain finish. I found the shade is one of the deepest colors of liquid liner I’ve tried. The shape of the tip allows for super precise application. If you’re a liquid liner pro, you will really like this one. I found its easy to control and apply on the lash line. Lasting power is really good, usually liner doesn’t stay long on my eye that’s one of the reasons I don’t wear liners on daily basis but this liner didn’t budged at all. On eyes it looked fresh and stayed pretty well all day long with no smudging or creeping.

Its formulated with triple lash supporting complex which really looks after your lashes. The water based formula is fast drying and easily removable.
Last but not least Touche Éclat Shimmer Stick (C$40.00) is a highlighting stick with a lightweight texture but creamy and highly concentrated in rich shimmers. This is one of my favorite stick version of highlighter, it comes in four shades and I was able to test it in Light Gold. You can use these for the underglow as a base underneath foundation or for a overglow on top of foundation on high points of face. I have tried both ways and like them on loved how it finishes the look. The formulas has enough creaminess to allow it to blend but not so dewy that it will pull the foundation. The shimmer is medium but definitely glowy. It looks metallic but if you blend it out smooths nicely to a radiant finish without a harsh frost which I always look into my highlighter.
The color range is quite nice and you can use different shades to use it as a highlighter, bronzer, blush as well as highlighting or bronzing body parts like arms and legs.

If you’re looking for a good classic eye products that works and lasts long, I highly recommend you check out the new offerings from YSL beauty. I would definitely be reaching out to the liner since I think I have found a liner that works great on my eyes. I love the finish and lasting power.
