Rodial | Smokey Eye Sculpt Eyeshadow, Suede Lips and Instaglam Glow Highlighter

Rodial have introduced new makeup products this January. Rodial have been new to me makeup brand, I have had tried their Snake skin care products before but this was my first time getting my hands on their makeup collection. I have read some fine reviews on Rodial makeup products here and there. I was very pleased and impressed with these beauty products. Today I am reviewing:

  • Smokey Eye Sculpt Eyeshadow
  • Rodial Suede Lips in Rodeo Drive and Big Apple
  • Instaglam Glow Liquid illuminator

Up First is the Smokey Eye Sculpt Eyeshadow (C$45.00) is a beautiful and neutral eyeshadow palette. This palette carries six highly pigmented neutral eyeshadows for more sculpted and contoured eyes. The texture of these eyeshadows are silky and lightweight. It carries a great selection of different textures from matte to pearly shadows to highlight and contour the eyes easily without any hustle. All of the shades from the palette carries a very warm tone colors to give a nice depth and definition to the eyes. You can create many different day and night looks with this eyeshadow palette. The colors are very easy to layer and beautifully blends with each other.
This palette comes in black and very sleek compact, which makes it perfect while you’re on the go. It fits in your makeup bag very easily for touch ups.

Next is Rodial Suede Lips (C$30.00 each) are a range of beautiful jumbo lip crayons. As my long readers know by now how much I love the jumbo lip crayons. The Suede Lips collection come in three beautiful shades – Rodeo Drive, Melrose Avenue and Big Apple. I had received the two shades to try:

  • Rodeo Drive – is a beautiful nude shade, with yellow undertone. I had to use a darker lip liner to give a contrast between my lips and my skin, since I have a yellow undertone skin too.
  • Big apple – is a hot red color, very wearable.

The texture of these lip crayons are lightweight and offers a beautiful suede finish to the lips. The lasting power is pretty amazing, much better than any other lips crayons I’ve used so far plus it keeps lips well nourished during wear. The formula is non-drying and it’s infused with vitamin E to keep lips smooth for hours. I love lips crayons for it’s easy application as well as you can carry it easily any where.

Last is the Instaglam Glow (C$36.00 each) is a liquid illuminator in golden shade. I have been very impressed with this illuminator, it gives the high points of cheek bones the most amazing glow without the frost. The texture is weightless and non sticky. It’s highly pigmented and with a perfect finish. A little goes a long way with this highlighter. This is definitely carries a universal shade to complement all skin tones. I’m not a powder person at all, this product is on my every day makeup drawer. The glow is very subtle and stays input for a good period of time. it actually lasted on my skin the whole day without smearing. It comes in twist up pen package and along with silicone brush applicator (which I’m not a big fan) for on the go application purposes. I personally get an amount at my back of hand and would use my finger tips to distribute the illuminator on top of the cheek bones and highest parts of the face.

Bottom line I was very impressed with these products. I’m a natural beauty lover, I don’t play with lots of colors when it comes to eyes. I keep it simple and neutral. This eyeshadow palette is definitely me, it carries prefect shades to take my from day-to-night look easily. The Suede Lips Crayons are definitely some thing to try on. It gives a nice velvety finish to the lips. And the highlighter is definitely a must for me. All Rodial makeup products are available at Murale this January.
