Nars | Under The Sun: The Bronzing Collection

I am super excited to share Under the Sun the Bronzing Collection. The entire collection carries that effortless summer vibe into it. The entire collection is limited edition and has everything you need to glam up this summer season. Here is a closer look at the entire collection.

Summer Solstice Eyeshadow Palette

The Summer Solstice Eyeshadow Palette is limited edition and it’s just gorgeous! There is a combination of bronzy and pink shades that are admiring. This palette has 9 rich bronzy + gold tones to create many beautiful day and nighttime looks easily. I love that this palette carries three different types of textures (matte, metallic and shimmer)and highly pigmented. The matte finish shadows have a nice smooth texture with a good colour payoff while the metallic finish ones carry a buttery finish texture yet the shimmers are quite a high impact.

  • Delirium is a nice metallic rose
  • Dune is a warm matte terracotta brown
  • Morongo is a shimmering rose gold
  • Seven Heaven is matte in sand a perfect transition shade
  • Oro Grande is a metallic copper brown
  • Seduced is a nice metallic rusted pink
  • Sunstorm is a shimmering golden copper
  • Thar is a nice metallic umber one of my favourite shades
  • Indian Wells is a metallic ruby that gives a nice pop of colour

The packaging is quite compact and comes with a large mirror that is big enough to get the look on the go. I find the eyeshadow palette is almost identical to the last year’s After Glow’s Eyeshadow palette (reviewed here) yet a little well put together in terms of a number of shades in this palette compared to 12 shades to the AfterGlow Platte. If you purchased the After Glow palette and loved it then you’re going to love this more.

Summer Solstice Bronzer & Highlighter Duo

I have been a huge lover of Nars Cosmetics bronzer for their colour selection and smooth formula. Yet the new Summer Solstice Bronzer & Highlighter Duo is what I need for this year’s soft bronzy look. This is a cheek duo palette that offers Bronzing Powder and Highlighting Powder that gives that sunkissed glow. This palette smells amazing!! it has that beach tropical vanilla scent. The texture is sheer but buildable, it makes it easy to get that nice sun-washed glow without worrying about going too harsh. At the same time, the Highlighting Powder gives that nice golden glow that is formulated with Seamless Glow Technology, so the texture is literally undetectable.

Sunkissed Bronzer Cream

Nars just launched their Sunkissed Bronzer which I think feels like silk on the skin. They’re limited-edition and almost sold out so get yours before it’s gone for good.
The formula is cream-to-powder that gives a soft-matte finish and blends beautifully on the skin. I haven’t tested the Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream but I can tell it’s as good as it looks. The Bronzer Cream comes in two shades:

  • Laguna is a light-medium brown shade for lighter skin tones
  • Casino is a medium brown for medium to darker skin tones

I was sent out the Casino which I found gives me a good enough contour look. The lasting power is pretty good, especially if you set it with a bronzer. It really blends well on the skin without leaving any texture or set on the pores.

Nars also launched a Cream Bronzer Brush along with the Sunkissed Bronzer for a seamless application. I am definitely new to the Nars Cosmetic brushes but this one is an angle shape brush made with synthetic fibres. It really blends the product seamlessly on the skin without any effort. The full handle design is very exclusive to the bronze collection carrying the sunray pattern. This brush is limited edition and if you’re looking for a good buffing cream foundation or cream bronzer then this is something you need to take a look at.

In the end, it’s a beautiful summer collection. I love how easy and effortless is the entire collection to bring you that nice sunkissed glow to your makeup looks. The eyeshadow palette is a must-have, the colour selections are well put together to create many different day and night looks with a great colour payoff, whether you like shimmers or not this palette makes it easy to wear. The Bronzer palette is a nice addition if you like that nice fade tan look with a nice golden bronze glow. Although Nars always makes the best-pressed powder formulas yet this one is quite well formulated. I haven’t been a huge fan of cream contour formulas yet this one is really nice and easy to apply. Love that the colours are universal and you can really apply them to your taste. I have linked the collection down below along with some other must-have products from Nars.
