NARS | SPRING 2017 COLOR COLLECTION

The NARS Spring Collection for 2017 launched this January and as usual it features some of the prettiest colors for this spring with some pop of colors. I was beyond thrilled to try out the new collection when I received the press samples from the brand. This collection carries lots of mix bright spring shades for pop of color. This collection does carry couple of items that are limited edition and couple of colors have been introduced to the line permanently. All shades are very easy to wear with great pigments. Today I’m reviewing:

Duo Eyeshadow in Chiang Mai (C$43.00 each Limited Edition) – is a long wear eyeshadow duo with a beautiful color combination. These eyeshadow formulas are crease-resistant and highly pigmented. I had a first sight love for this eyeshadow duo, it’s a mix color of the bright sea blue and copper and you can wear the colors alone or together in many different ways. Both shades carries a very nice fine shimmers that adds a nice glow to the eyes, perfect for a fresh spring look.
I have been wearing the turquoise shade on the lid and using the dark chocolate-brown as an eyeliner to define the eyes with the help of my setting spray. You can definitely wear them dry for sheer finish and wet to intensify the eyeshadow for more bold look. The colors glides on smoothly and I loved how it blends effortlessly.

Velvet Shadow Stick in Grande-Large, Usbek and Belle-Île (C$35.00 each) are Twist up thick eyeshadow sticks with a soft and creamy texture while it really stays on the eyes for a good time. These Shadow Sticks glides on beautifully and you can pair them with powder shadows for long wear. The texture is matte to multidimensional finish and once it sets, it literally sticks to the skin. You do need to work with these Shadow Sticks a little quicker cause I found they do set quite fast. There are four colors in this spring collection:
- Grande-Large (limited edition) – is a bright shimmery sea blue shades.
- Usbek (limited edition) – is a vivid purple with lots of pigment.
- Belle-Île – is a beautiful shimmering mandarin orange color.
- Siros – is a bronze shade.

Lip Gloss in Aragón (C$33.00 each) – is a beautiful red chestnut lip gloss with a sophisticated shine for every day wear. These Lip Glosses from Nars are enriched with nourishing ingredients to keep lips soft and smooth throughout the day. The doe-foot applicator helps glides on the product smoothly with comfort and precision for long-lasting wear. The texture is very pigmented with a high glossy finish. The staying power is pretty average, it lasted on my lips for couple of hours where reapplication is must.

Botton line NARS Cosmetics never fails to present the best collection every season with newness and creative colors and shades to impress every one. This Spring Collection carries few limited edition items, where they go by fast. If you’re thinking of getting any of these I would highly recommend browse the collection as soon as possible because once these items are gone they’re gone.
