Nars | Cool Crush Eyeshadow Palette & Hot Fix Cheek Palette

Latest from Nars Cosmetics are the two new face and eyeshadow palette that is just glorious! Although Nars Cosmetics nails with their palettes all the time yet these are at their finest combination of colours and textures for the fall season. For me, these are just perfect palettes that will remain as the classic fun palettes that I can wear comfortably all the time.
Both carry a very fall vibe kind of colours with very classy shades that wear on easily. Here is a closer look at both items.

Cool Crush Eyeshadow Palette

Cool Crush Eyeshadow Palette (C$78 for 12 shades Limited Edition) is just Stunning! it has 12 beautiful colours with a mix of mattes, metallics and shimmers. This eyeshadow palette comes in super nice and sleek-looking packaging with a crush foil finish and a good size mirror for touchups. The Cool Crush palette carries the prettiest mix of colours with different textures that are just beautiful.

Shades include:

  • Soft Chill is a light beige with gold shimmer
  • Sexed is a shimmering light gold
  • Superclass is a nice metallic tan opal
  • Nylon is a matte nude
  • Fresh Cut is a warm brown with gold shimmer
  • Inception is a metallic turquoise with gold shimmer
  • Prowl is a shimmering pink rose
  • Shake It is a shimmering soft melon
  • Feist is a metallic gold bronze
  • Ganges is a shimmering teal
  • Risi is a matte sienna
  • Isolde II is a shimmering copper

I find there is quite a bit of variation of colours which makes this palette create an endless amount of combinations for different day and night looks. The sparkles are wearable and mattes are buttery smooth. They layer beautifully along with each other while I see a colour code in each row for a perfect eye look (just in case you don’t know where to start). It’s hard for me to wear bold colours yet I see myself wearing the colours comfortably from this palette.

There aren’t any fallout with eyeshadows in general with Nars Cosmetics, the mattes blend beautifully with a blending brush while I find the shimmery and Metallics apply nicely with fingertips.

Hot Fix Cheek Palette

Up next is Hot Fix Cheek Palette (C$65 for 4 shades) is a limited-edition cheek palette that carries three beautiful cheek colours and one highlighting powder. I find this to be just a perfect complexion palette with alluring shades that are flattering on all skin tones. I am a huge lover of muted and warm tone blushes with peachy nude colours.

Shades include:

  • Gold Leash is a gold highlighter with fine shimmers
  • Spark Got Hot is a nice beige-pink colour with fine shimmers
  • Dream Place is a beautiful warm peach brown in a matte finish
  • Sugar Spirit is a perfect nude rose with shimmers

It’s one of the most beautiful peachy nude cheek palettes I have ever seen. All three shades can be worn alone or layer nicely to create a 3D effect. I find the shimmers are not extreme so don’t emphasize pores and anyone can wear it easily. The application is smooth and blends easily. Lasting power is very good, it melts into the skin and doesn’t leave a powdery finish at all. The pigment is perfect, you can sheer it out for a lighter wash or layer for more intense look.
The highlighter carries a perfect gold tone that is just gorgeous. A universal shade that is flattering for all skin tones. It wears nicely with a fan brush and for a more intense finish try to layer it with your fingertips. I find it’s an easy palette that you can do your whole face using the shades on your eyes, cheeks and lips. Dream Place or Sugar Spirit on your eye crease/ Gold Leash on eyelid & browbone. Spark Got Hot on cheeks/ Gold Leash on cheekbone while you can dap any kind of blush colours on your lips to get that same colour vibe on the whole look.

In the end a huge thumbs up to both palettes for their colour selection, texture and performance. I am in love with the colour combinations on Cool Crush Eyeshadow Palette. It’s a one-colour palette that I can carry easily and comfortably. and if you’re someone who wears neutral yet wants to introduce some colours to their looks I would highly recommend trying this palette. You can create endless neutral looks with some pop of colours. Hot Fix Cheek Palette is just beautiful. I have never gotten so excited for a cheek palette before and I can say that this is one cheek palette that will remain a favourite of mine.
