Nars launched their new Afterglow Lip Shine Gloss ($26) in 10 shades. I’ve been loving all things from Nars for these past years and it feels like these are to be holy grail glosses for the year. I’ve worn these non-stop for that exceptional finish and glow they offer without feeling heavy or sticky on my lips.
The Afterglow Lip Shine Gloss is a nourishing lip gloss that finishes lips with a mirror-like shine finish and keeps lips hydrated throughout the day. The pigment of these glosses is sheer but still deeper shades are more visible on the lips. There is a mix of shimmery and sheen finishes in the collection. You can wear them alone or on top of your lipstick & lip liner. I personally love to wear it with a matching lip liner just because it gives more definition to my look. The formula is infused with pomegranate flower complex and raspberry seed oil that keeps lips hydrated and smooth throughout the day respectively. The packaging is sleek and comes with a sponge applicator that really applies the gloss evenly on the lips.

- A-Lister is a clear gloss with gold shimmer that adds an extra glow to lips
- Supervixen is a shimmering rose bronze shade
- Unbroken is a shimmering mauve shade
- Chelsea Girls is a nice warm pink beige with a high shine
- Aragon is a warm chestnut red
- Turkish Delight is a soft pink sherbert
- Lover To Lover is a shimmering cool pink (looks adorable)
I got to try 7 shades from the collection which covers pretty good the entire collection. The glosses have a nice smooth feel on lips and there isn’t any scent that I detected. The formula itself is really nourishing and hydrating. I’ve been a huge lover of Nars Afterglow Lip Balms (reviewed here) for its nourishing formula and nice tinted glow it gives my lips for my everyday wear. And I can say that these are my new favourite lip gloss at the moment. If I had to pick 1-2 shades from the collection Lover to Lover & Chelsea would be the ones.
Overall it’s a gorgeous collection with a very nice formula and if you’re on the hunt for a gloss this is definitely something you want to look into.
