This was my first time going over Make Up For Ever eye shadow formulas, where I have been a long time lover for their highlighters and foundations. I was really impressed with the selection of colors as well as the finishes. The texture on these eyeshadows are highly rich and glides on eyelids smoothly and feels buttery. I love how they’re buildable and blends beautifully while layering. Plus there are minimal fallout during application. This year I found my self loving the red brick, plum and pink shades and my picks include.

  • Fig is a beautiful dark plum shade with fine and more obvious sparkles of gold.
  • English Pink is a pretty pink shade with warn under tone along with fine golden shimmers.
  • Cookie is a peachy beige with warmer under tone.

I have been amazed by the selection of shades and colors, there are quite some amazing and beautiful shades with a completely amazing finishes. I found Satin and Iridescent carries almost the same finish and texture as well as the Diamond and Metallic shades almost have the same texture, except Diamond with a little more obvious shimmers and Metallic with more high shine and fine shimmers.

The lasting power is pretty amazing, you do need a good eyeshadow primer to add life and smooth finish to these eyeshadows. Although I’m not a huge fan of primers but in order to hold on to your shadows for a good amount of time, primers are must.
The packaging carries the same classic Make Up For Every metal look with magnetic base to hold the panes, and the just the quad and 6 pan packages comes in a good size mirror for touch up purposes.

Bottom line these eyeshadows are a huge hit for me in terms of performance, quality and for the wide selection of shades – colors and finishes. The pigment is excellent and are worth the splurge. I have many eyeshadow palettes where i don’t use some of the shades while I run out of some of my favorite shades. I some times use different eyeshadow palettes or I buy singles shadows to get that perfect look. I found some of the shades are quite unique and carries that amazing butter texture and beautiful finish. These are perfect whether you’re a make up artist or you want to carry that perfect eyeshadow palette for your self while you’re traveling. The Artist Color Eyeshadows are now available in store and online at Sephora.
