Loving Right Now + Testing in Skincare

There are quite some amazing skincare launches for the summer season and I’ve been super excited to test and try these new additions. Summer season is just around the corner and I’ve already changed my skincare routine for the season. Spring and fall season is where is change my skincare products majorly but reaching out to warmer weather means lighter skincare products and fewer steps. This also means I only use products my skin really needs otherwise I cut them out of my routine. At the end of this post, you’ll find my current morning + nightly skincare routine.

Dior Beauty

I was really excited to find new skincare items from Dior Beauty. La Mousse OFF/ON Foaming Face Cleanser is a very recent launch from Dior Beauty I can officially say that I am obsessed!! I haven’t experienced anything like this before. The texture is quite impressive it’s a creamy foam, mouse cleanser that feels really hydrating and removes the most stubborn makeup and the skin feels hydrated and nourished.

Double cleansing is essential to my skincare routine the fact that I like squeaky clean skin yet this cleanser has replaced that skincare step for me. it’s definitely a cleanser that removes impurities like no other.

Cle De Peau Beaute

Cle de Peau Beaute skincare products are not new to my skincare routine, their Softening Lotion and eye cream are essential to my fall/winter skincare routine. But I was very excited to discover more skincare products from the brand that I absolutely adore. The brand kindly send over the entire limited-edition Key Radiance Care Ritual collection that was designed to celebrate its 40th anniversary which made it even more special to me. The collection is specially designed with 3 step day/night skincare routine for different skin types (normal to dry, normal to oily) Here is what the collection looks like:

The Serum ($395) is designed to activate the skin’s energy and vitality while it prepares the skin for optimal absorption of the skincare. It’s the first step to the skincare routine for all skin types. It not only helps with the absorption of the other skincare products, it immediately adds suppleness and hydration to the skin. If you know me then this is one of the steps I don’t neglect in my skincare routine and has changed how my skin looks through the years.

Hydro Softening Lotion ($150) is designed for normal to dry skin types and is the second step in a morning skincare routine. This is one of the must-have products for me during the fall/winter season. This is a balancing and softening lotion that instantly adds intense hydration to the skin. It has nice claiming and soothing properties that eliminate roughness and dryness from the skin and adds a nice suppleness to the skin.
By this step skin really looks and feels well hydrated and you can apply any favourite targeted moisturizer for your skin, facial oil or sunscreen to treat and lock in the moisture and keep the hydration level up.
Hydro-Clarifying Lotion is designed for normal to oily skin types and is the second step in the morning skincare. I haven’t tried this yet the fact is that it doesn’t suit my skin type but if you have oily skin this is a balancing lotion that removes dead skin cells and lifts impurities while instantly hydrating skin.

Intensive Fortifying Cream ($220) is designed for normal to dry skin types and Intensive Fortifying Emulsion ($220) for normal to oily skin types as the last step in the nightly skincare routine. The cream texture is rich and feels luxurious to the skin and deeply hydrates the skin. while the Emulsion formula is very light but deeply hydrates the oily skin that is very for well-nourished skin. The formula is designed to fight factors that accelerate signs of aging meaning skin looks more radiant, plumped and youthful in the morning.

At the moment I’ve been enjoying the Emulsion formula in my nightly skincare routine. I like a lighter version of moisturizer in my summer skincare routine and I’ve seen a huge transition in my skin since its use. The limited-edition packaging is still available yet I’ve lined the collection below as well.

Estee Lauder

Estee Lauder skincare products have become essential to my skincare routine and this season there were quite some really nice new launches that I was very happy to cover. They just introduced a very luxurious Facial Serum Re-Nutriv Ultimate Diamond Transformative Brilliance Serum that comes in refillable packaging. The formula carries one of the best anti-aging technologies Black Diamond Truffle Extract and youth-sustaining which offers radiance and firmness to the skin. It also helps with dark spots and more even out skin tone. This serum really helps to improve the skin’s texture and elasticity. With this is one a little goes a long way and I love that the refill is easy to use. I have also been using this under my foundation to prep my skin and this finishes the complexion exceptionally.

I’ve also been loving their new Revitalizing Superme+ Youth Power Creme which they just introduced to their skincare range just recently. I’ve already been in love with their Revitalizing Superme+ Youth Bright which I’ve been using during the winter season.

This is a moringa-infused moisturizer that visibly adds firmness, strength and radiance to the skin. It’s designed for all skin types and textures. This formula is infused with cactus stem cell extract and hyaluronic acid that plumps and more nourished skin. I love the texture that feels light but deeply hydrates the skin with amazing results.

Glow Recipe

New from Glow Recipe is the Strawberry Smooth BHA + AHA Salicylic Acid Serum ($53). You all know I am a huge lover of Glow Recipe’s skincare products when it comes to mid-range skincare products. This is a soothing and gentle serum designed to address signs of breakouts and visibly refine pores. Although I don’t break out often, unfortunately, I had a major breakout around my chin area which I used partially on the affected area and it did clear out and brighten up the area. It’s designed for all skin textures and is a good exfoliating serum if you’re looking for one and is quite hydrating.

U Beauty

One of the best skincare launches that excited me the most is the new addition from U beauty. Tina launched two new products to her skincare line which has blown me away. I always struggle with body care and moisturizers, I do have only a couple of moisturizers that I reach out but I think I have found a holy grill one. The Super Body Hydrator is an insanely hydrating body moisturizer with a milky texture that is designed to work in synergy with Siren Capsule Technology meaning that hyaluronic acid is released in capsulated form and instantly begins hydrogen bonding to water molecules that keep the water in the skin and maintains hydration for a long period of time. It immediately hydrates and nourishes the skin. It offers hydration, skin looks soft and smooth. The formula is also infused with Niacinamide, Peptides and B-glucan improves the look of the skin, improves firmness and collagen and adds radiance respectively. It seems like this is one of those products that I will run out the most throughout the year multiple times.

U beauty also introduced a new hydrating lip balm The Plasma Lip Component ($68). This is a formula that immediately looks after dry and patchy lips and adds that nice glow and 3D effect. It’s very easy to use and is designed with a metal applicator that has a cooling effect. The formula is nourishing and I love how it transforms my lips immediately after its application to a soft a smooth texture. It does set at a higher price compared to many lip balms but compared to all luxury lip balms and treatments this is well priced for what you get.

Tinny London

Trinny London just launched Overnight Sensation Retinal + Serum which is designed for more mature skin, especially those over 40 to help with the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles plus renew skin’s texture. I just step into my 40 and wanted to try this to see how it affects my skin. I have been loving her other skincare products and wanted to test this one. This year I’ve decided to keep my retinol treatment in my summer skincare routine because my sunspots and other discoloration are starting to show up more and more. I loved this new Overnight Sensation Retinal + Serum and am impressed. The formula is slightly more intense compared to other retinol treatments I’ve been using and I do see some reaction during the application (mild irritation) but it doesn’t irritate or dry out my skin. I only use it twice a week as a treatment in my skincare routine and am quite impressed with how my skin looks right now.

Here my current skincare looks like, I’ve cut out lots of rich formulas from my skincare routine and I am so proud of how long I’ve come a long way to keep my skin’s hydration level throughout the year so I can use lighter formulas during the summertime. I am sharing my own skincare routine + affordable options as well that I’ve tested and have been approved.
