Summer is the time when I just like to glow. Most of the new launches make it through the year with me for their long-lasting formulas and the nice glowy finish it carries that I like to wear every single day of the year. There are quite some amazing new beauty launches that I’ve been really impressed with and sharing my favourites here today.
Makeup Picks
I picked a few new launches in makeup. I am always into fresh, bronzed looks during this time of the year and my main focus is on my complexion and eyes. You can find full details on my current favourite bases Here. In terms of new complexion products, I’ve not tried anything new since then. Here is my top pick for what I love to wear during the summer season.
Chanel Complete Correction CC Cream (in 30 Beige) is what I love to wear for its dewy finish, SPF and full coverage finish. I do need to set it lightly with a powder or touch up later in the day but it’s got quite an amazing lasting power. You can find the full detailed post here along with before/after swatches.
Laura Mercier Light Revealer Skin Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer (2W1 Natural) is what I like to wear almost every day and is probably the most used base. I like to wear it by itself for that natural glow or it’s become a mixing medium for my bases during the summertime to dilute the coverage.
It Cosmetics CC Cream Matte (in Light) is stable for me during the summertime for its finish, full coverage and lasting power that doesn’t require setting or touch-ups.

I will be sharing a new post of some of the new bronzers I’ve been testing here with you guys but I’ve found a new blush compact that I am obsessed with this summer season.
Estee Lauder just introduced a new refillable Pure Color Envy Sculpting blush compact with a selection of perfect shades for the season. These blushes carry an ultra-silky feel into it and offer that nice healthy-looking glow along with buildable coverage. The compact itself is well designed with a large mirror and a perfect portable brush applicator for touchups. I got my hands on the shade Spiked Berry which is a perfect berry shade that gives skin that nice and perfect colour especially for evening looks.
Eye Makeup
I probably got my hands on the most gorgeous eyeshadow palette Givenchy Le 9 De Givenchy Multifinish Eye shadow palette that carries just perfect shades to wear during this time. This is the Couture eye shadow palette with 9 beautiful and customized shades and finishes to create many natural and sultry eye looks.
You guys all know I love neutral shades and when it comes to colours plum and fuchsia shades are my all-time favourite to wear. The texture of these shadows feels sleeky and applies really nice all over with a great pigment and almost no fallout.
I also stock up on some of my favourite cream and liquid eyeshadows that I like to wear during the summertime. Charlotte Eyes to Mesmerize Cream Shadows in Pillow Talk as well as Eye Tint Shadows from Armani Beauty in Rose Ashes and Fennel. All of these are quite long-lasting that offer that nice radiant glow on the eyes. they also make a perfect base for shadows.
I am always on the hunt for that perfect gel pencil liner and I think I have got a new favourite formula. The new Estee Lauder Double Wear 24-hour Waterproof Gel Pencil liner is what I’ve been loving. I am literally hooked to this formula, and impressed!! It applies softly but it doesn’t smudge or budge at all. And the shade Espresso is just perfect to do the tight-lining or create the liner look for summertime.
For mascaras, I’ve been testing the new DiorShow24h Buildable Volume Mascara in Black. I’ve always loved their formulas for the fact that it doesn’t clump when layering or smudge on my lashes, especially during the summertime. I find the new formula performs much better keeping the lashes nice and soft and the brush applicator has that nice shape that adds more volume to the lashes.

Lip Products
If you’re a long reader of Million Idole then you know I adore and love Dior beauty’s lip balms and tints. I’ve had tested and tried their original Dior Addict Lip Tattoo formula back in 2017 when the Creative and Image Director Peter Philips for Dior created these highly pigmented tinted lip links for an ephemeral tattoo effect that lasts all day. They introduced new formulas along with new shades for summer 2022 and I knew I needed these. I picked the shade Natural Peach which is a perfect coral colour for lips. In case you don’t know about these, they’re transfer-proof, and semi-matte lip tint made with 95 percent natural-origin ingredients and are infused with cherry oil that keeps the lips hydrated.
I also picked up one of my favourite lip treatments Lip Sugar Scrub, it immediately puffs off any dry patches from lips and adds hydration and works with the body chemistry to give lips that nice flush of colour that I like.
I discovered the new Bobbi Brown Extra Lip Tint at the begging of the spring and this has been one of my on-the-go lip formulas for me. It immediately gives lips that instant hydration, glow and flush of colour that is just perfect.
Buxom beauty’s lip gloss plumpers are the best formulas and they just introduced a new limited edition collection Dolly Collection (full review to come) and it consists of two new Plumping Lip Cream Gloss. These shades are just cute and perfect for the summertime.

For the summer season, I’ve updated my fragrances and I’ve also been enjoying the new Oui La Vie est Belle Eau de Parfum from Lancome. La Vie line has been one of my all-time favourites through the years and this time the notes such as Bergamot, Centifolia Rose, and Patchouli make this scent a perfect floral scent for me and for anyone with a taste for floral scent. I think this is more like a classic scent for me.
Irresistible Eau de Parfum from Givenchy is another one with a luminous fresh floral scent and hint of woody note that I like to wear. I think the combination of Sparkling Pear, Luscious Rose, and Blond Wood notes makes this that nice fruity, floral warm woody scent.
Arin Ikat Jasmine remains one of my go-to summer scents. The notes Tuberose Fleur, Jasmine Egypt Infusion, and Honeysuckle make this perfume perfect and I can layer this with any of the other two very easily.
