La Prairie just launched their first-ever liquid compact Skin Caviar Essence-in- Foundation (C$271.73) this season. It’s a portable yet spill proof liquid foundation that literally gives a flawless and seamless complexion. It’s designed with a color-true formula that provides long-lasting wear with very natural-looking skin. The coverage is medium but buildable with a semi-matte finish which I found is working great on all skin types.
It’s also infused with Caviar water to support skin firmness and hydration when you need it the most. The collection comes in 8 shades that have been matched to Skin Caviar Concealers. If you have already using the Skin Caviar Concealer, it’s very easy to find your shade. I have received the foundation in Pure Ivory which is a perfect match for my skin. I have had used the Skin Caviar Concealer Foundation reviewed here in Pure Ivory as well which works great on my skin and I have been loving it the most.
The Compact is Patented and air-sealed and comes with a refill which I think was very thought full, it’s always nice to have a backup especially for ladies who are on the go. The compact itself is very sleek-looking, comes with a good mirror size and a perfect compact while you’re on the go. I have been testing this foundation with different bases and setting powders. I found that the foundation gives you better coverage when using your fingertips, using the pad will sheer out the foundation’s coverage. Wearing a good primer is definitely gives the foundation to stay longer and I have been wearing it with Dior Airflush primer & setting spray reviewed here, it not only adds life to your foundation it also gives your skin a nice glow.
The texture of the foundation is light and bendable, you can layer the product easy to get full coverage.
The staying power is pretty amazing, it sits beautifully on the skin – feels like your own skin but perfect! IF you have oily skin I would highly suggest setting the foundation lightly with a setting powder but otherwise, I found the foundation has an amazing finish for all skin types. I love how you can carry the foundation with you anywhere, you can touch up easily and it cover any imperfections of the skin immediately, stays nice and fresh from day-to-night. I love using the applicator pad for touch up purposes, I found with this foundation you really don’t need any kind of concealer, it literally seals everything. I have been using a peachy concealer to correct my under eye darkness and that’s all.

Overall it’s pure love for me, I find it’s one of the foundations you need to have in your makeup drawer. I have been loving it for its quality, performance, and lasting power. I always have been a love for radiant and fresh-looking skin and I find this foundation really gives my skin the two components that it needs. It’s travel friendly and very easy to touch up while you’re on the go. I have been a huge fan of the Caviar skincare and foundation line since last year and this time it has succeeded my expectations, it’s a must-have product.
