It Cosmetics CC+ Nude Glow Lightweight Foundation + Glow Serum with SPF 40 and Niacinamide Review

Super excited to find the CC+ Nude Glow Lightweight Foundation + Glow Serum with SPF 40 (C$53.00) from It Cosmetics. As many know It Cosmetics CC Cream is one of my all-time favorite base formulas, especially during the spring/summer time for its SPF coverage and finish it offers. I haven’t found anything that I can compare this base with in terms of its performance on the skin and the skincare benefits it offers.

The new Nude Glow is a lighter version of the CC Cream + formulated with many more skincare benefits that will change your skin’s texture and finish over time. The new Nude CC Cream is an all-in-one formula that colour corrects and covers imperfections of the skin with SPF 40 + formulated with a brightening glow serum that instantly adds radiance to the skin. It’s designed for all skin tones and textures, especially for dry to normal skin combinations with medium coverage.

This new formula contains ingredients such as Niacinamide, Hyaluronic Acid and Green Tea Extract that brightens smooths, plump and protects the skin respectively. The formula is not exactly the same as the original formula or any other additions. I find the formula is lighter in texture so it feels more liquidy while the original formulas carry a slightly cream-like texture so it offers that medium coverage finish. The formula is buildable but needs to be set lightly with a powder for better-lasting power.

In terms of shade range, I have used the shade Light in all other formulas and the I find the shade runs exactly the same (side-by-side comparison swatches of 3 formulas below). The new formula offers a better shade range. The finish is natural and is perfect for everyday wear.

Side-by-side comparison:

You can really see the difference between the texture of the side of the formula side. The original formula carries a cream texture, the matte finish has that paste texture and the new nude formula is liquidy. As well as I have all of them in shade Light and they do run the same. Although you won’t be able to differentiate the coverage both the original and matte finish has a full coverage finish while the Nude Glow carries a medium coverage.

Although these CC Creams do blend nicely with fingertips I personally love to use a brush or beauty sponge for all my base applications. The Heavenly Luxe Flat Top Buffing Foundation Brush #6 has been a game-changer in how it finishes my foundation (a must-have brush for me, since I discovered this brush I have not used any other complexion brush). It offers full coverage and an airbrush finish that I love. The brand has sent out the Heavenly Luxe Complexion Perfection Brush #7 which is a dual-ended complexion brush (foundation + concealer) that carries slightly a dome shape that makes the blending easier but sheers out the foundation for a more natural look. The concealer end blends in the product nicely under the eye area, especially the full coverage concealer as well as parts of the complexion that you need more coverage.

Overall I am loving it for my everyday look for the fact that it gives me that natural look and dewy finish I like with no texture on my skin plus the SPF I need during the spring and summertime. I still prefer to wear the matte finish for days I go out for the fact that it gives me that full coverage look I like to wear but this one is something I would reach for daily looks. I’ve linked some of my favorite products from the brand that I use almost every single day below. All available at Itcosmetics.ca & Sephora.
