First Look at Givenchy’s The Magical Winter Dream Holiday 2022 Collection

I just can’t get over that Holiday collections are already here and I am super excited to share the first look at Givenchy’s Holiday 2022 Collection here with you all. The collection features the 3 iconic beauty items that come in limited edition packaging that is inspired by the puffer jacket that was created by Matthew M. Williams and was featured on Givenchy’s recent runway.

I have always been impressed with Givenchy’s beauty products for their quality and performance and it is really interesting to find them in the most beautiful packaging. Here is a closer look at the collection plus some sharing my thoughts on some of the new items I got to try from the brand for the first time.

The Magical Winter Dream Holiday 2022 Collection

Prisme Libre Loose Setting and Finishing Powder ($79) – is a Limited Edition release of the viral setting powder. I have used this powder in the past, probably one of the only powders that I can trust blindly and can use without giving it a second thought. This limited edition powder comes in only one shade Lumiere Ploaire to enhance fair to medium skin tones as it literally turns as transparent but does the colour correcting job for that particular skin tone. I absolutely love how it leaves skin radiant without emphasizing fine lines and wrinkles at all. I have used this powder in its Original Mousseline Pastel shade and have been a lover of their Original Mousseline Pastel mini size. I think I am loving this new shade as its colour corrects my skin the way I want with shades such as peach tones to cover my dark circles and skin pigmentation and lilac to cover any redness.

The Holiday collection also features the 2 lipstick formula in new packaging. Le Rouge Sheer Velvet Matte Lipstick is one of my favourite matte formulas that wears comfortably and comes in two shades that already exist in the collection. As well as one shade from their Rouge Interdit Intense Silk Satin Matte Lipstick formula that is with high pigment and luminous finish. Here is a quick look and detail on these shades.

  • Rouge Infuse which is a beautiful Deep red tinted with dusky pink in Sheer Velvet Matte finish
  • Nude Boise is a neutral beige infused with a powdery pink in Sheer Velvet Matte finish
  • Rouge Vigne which is a nice bright red in cool blue under tone and comes in a single shade in Intense Silk formula

I was very excited to get to try some of the best-selling products to compete with the look. As many know I love a good gel liner pencil and the Khol Couture Waterproof Retractable Eyeliner ($36) is one that gives eyes that sleek definition with amazing lasting powder. It comes in 8 colours but only 3 shades are available at Sephora. if you’re someone like me that likes to keep the liner neutral then black & Chestnut are the shades you need to try.

The Volume Disturbia Mascara ($35) comes in a jet black finish that I like to wear. The wear is quite impressive with up to 24 hours of wear. I love that the applicator is quite interesting with a micro bristle brush that imparts the lashes & deposits the perfect amount of mascara with every single stroke. I love how it layers beautifully without getting lashes clumpy while it adds that nice volume and lift lashes need.

Overall a huge thumbs up to the packaging for the holiday collection. I find this would be a great gift idea for a beauty lover for the holiday season. I have linked some of my all-time favourite products from the brand below for you.
