Laura Mercier | Blush Color Infusion

Laura Mercier just introduced 4 new shades to her iconic Blush Color Infusion collection. These are long-wearing blushes with sheer coverage but buildable. Throughout my blogging life + before I, unfortunately, missed on her blushers. I have tried everything from her complexion except her blushers. But it’s not too late, I am glad I did found out about them.

The team kindly send out 3 out of 4 shades for me to preview. There is a new addition to the matte finish (Bellini), one addition to the shimmer finish (Passionfruit) and two new shades been added with a natural finish that is all-new (Watermelon). I find all the new shades are different and not identical to any old ones. The newly added shades are fresh and are perfect for the spring season.

  • Bellini is a nice peachy coral in a matte finish
  • Watermelon is a cute soft pink with shimmers probably my favourite colour to wear
  • Passionfruit is a soft warm coral luminescent pink

They carry a nice silky smooth texture that feels pleasant on the skin while it adds a nice flush of colour to the skin for the most natural look. Although they’re sheer coverage you can buildup the colour to your taste without feeling powdery at all. The blushes blend seamlessly with a diffused pigment and apply nicely with a medium fluffy brush. I love wearing blushers, I think they add life and freshness to the skin and I personally love shades that brighten my face, depending on my makeup look. I find all shades are wearable and go pretty well with all skin tones.
The Blush Color Infusion comes in the same sleek iconic mirror compact.

I have been reaching out more to the Watermelon shade for the past week. It gives a nice soft pinky shade with a nice subtle glow that I like to wear all the time. Lasting power is excellent. It lasted on me for almost all day, without any touchups.

You can find the new Blush Color Infusion available at Saks Fifth Avenue, and Sephora.

Givenchy | Prisme Libre Skin-Caring Glow Foundation

Givenchy Beauty just introduced the new Prisme Libre Skin-Caring Glow Foundation (C$60.00). I got very excited to try this new base from one of my favourite brands Givenchy Beauty. I have had tested and tried other beauty items from Givenchy Beauty which has impressed me yet I always missed on the bases/foundation.

This is a skin-loving foundation that offers light to medium coverage with skincare benefits that makes your skin GLOW. The finish is flawless and the skin looks fresh and perfected while wears quite comfortable on the skin. The Prisme Libre Skin-Caring Glow Foundation comes in 30 shades to cover all skin tones.

As many of you know I like to wear bases that evens out my skin while looks natural. I no longer can wear heavy and thick formulas that emphasize fine lines and wrinkles. Although I can manage to wear few full-coverage formulas only from time to time on events. My on-the-go foundation has to be light, buildable, hydrating + non-greasy and this foundation meets it all.

I received them in two shades N250 (light to medium with neutral undertones) & N270 (light to medium with intense neutral undertones) and I was amazed at how well they both matched my skin. N250 swatched below on my skin which is a perfect shade for time being while the N270 is going to be perfect for summertime when I get slightly darker.
You can notice below (before/After) that my skin looks more even, smoother with a nice glow that looks natural + it looks like my skin, I wasn’t able to detect any trace of foundation on my skin.

I tested both with powder and without powder, and I found it stays much better with a light loose powder (I tried it with the Prisme Libre Loose Powder and it looks amazing).

I love how the formula lasted my skin. It’s one of the formulas that I can wear comfortably and confidently + want to keep in my current makeup drawer for everyday use. I have linked some of my favourite products from Givenchy below. Its available at Sephora.

Spring Beauty Launches + Favorites

Spring is just around the corner and few beauty launches are happening right now that I find quite interesting + a few hit beauty formulas that I am loving right now. I have found the best complexion products (makeup + skincare) that has wowed me. In this post, I am sharing spring products that I am currently obsessed with.

Makeup

Shiseido beauty’s complexion products are my favourite and they just launched the new Synchro Skin Radiant Lifting Foundation SPF 30 which is a hydrating & breathable formula that offers a nice natural finish with a perfect glow. I was really impressed with the  Synchro Skin Self-Refreshing Foundation that I discovered about a year ago and I am happy to say that now I have a better formula with a good amount of SPF that I can wear on daily basis. Skin looks fresh, radiant and stays up for a good amount of time.

There are new launches from Charlotte Tilbury which are quite amazing. The new Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray is one of the best oil-free setting sprays you can use to set your makeup without melting or emphasizing the fine lines. It blurs out the appearance of pores, and I have been applying it before as a primer and after my makeup as a setting spray for a super fresh and flawless look.

Charlotte’s Hollywood Flawless Filter Luxury Eyeshadow Palette in Diva Lights is a limited edition palette and it is a perfect palette with a great range of four shades to easily create day and night looks. The formula is non-creasing and has a soft-focus effect with amazing pigment + there is minimal fallout.

The shades are infused with pearl pigment that offers an iridescent shimmer finish with a super soft and smooth finish. The formula is buildable and you can get them to wear wet for a more intense finish or dry for a subtle look.

  • Prime is a soft glitter pink champagne
  • Enhance is a nice and perfect metallic blush pink
  • Smoke is a metallic mink brown which is one of my favourite colours to create a nice smokey.
  • Define is a metallic antiqued brown that can be worn alone or as an accent shade.

Eyes To Mesmerize Cream Eyeshadows in Copper Sunrise is also a limited edition shade. This formula has been one of my favourite cream eyeshadow formulas with amazing lasting power. You can wear it alone or as a base to add more dimension to your look. I really like this new shade, it’s a light mauve pink gold. The formula glides nicely over the eyelid and has a soft-focus effect.

Rouge Dior lipsticks have been one of my favourite lipstick formulas. They stay up very nicely on lips without feeling dry. There is a quite great range of shades and finishes but I love the Rouge Dior Matte formula. There is quite a great range of shades but as a nude lipstick lover, I picked the Tendresse Matte which is a nice deep beige/mauve nude. They’re refillable.

At the same time, I picked up the new Miss Dior Rose N’Roses Eau de Toilette in roller pearl for my on-the-go bag. As many of you know I have been a floral fragrance lover and this one is a classic floral scent that I can layer to refresh my perfume along with any other floral scents. I go through one each spring.

Skincare

Fresh Beauty’s Kombucha 2-in-1 No-Rinse Cleanser & Prebiotic Treatment has been on my radar for the spring season. This is a one-step cleanser and treatment that removes makeup and impurities and at the same time protects skin’s barriers. The formula is AMAZING! it’s a perfect formula for me, that I can use in my nightly skincare routine. It literally removes all impurities from the skin and the skin feels fresh and smooth.

Recently I was sent out the new Liftactiv Supreme H.A Wrinkle Filler from Vichy, which is one of the new launches from their skincare line and it’s been in my daily skincare vanity since then. It’s probably the best affordable hyaluronic serum I have ever tried. You all always ask me for my favourite affordable skincare products so I had to share this news with you. It plumps skin immediately and it’s a perfect way to prep skin for makeup application.

I also rediscover the Laneige Water Bank Hydro Essence. It is a lightweight essence formulated with highly-concentrated green mineral water and infused with vitamin-rich green vegetables that gets into the skin to boost skin hydration and help with skin’s water loss & firmness. I have had used and loved Laneige skincare products especially the Water Bank collection in past (7 years ago reviewed here) and it is still a hit formula to boost my skin’s hydration level.

Glow Recipe just launched the Watermelon Glow AHA Pink Dream Body Cream that is a lightweight body moisturizer that hydrates and soothes skin immediately with Glow Recipe’s Watermelon scent. Living in Canada for more than 20 years my skin became dry and super sensitive. I always look into the different body cream formulas to soothe and hydrate my skin. I can confidently say that I have found a formula that soothes and hydrates my skin just the way I want it + without feeling heavy or greasy.

I hope this Spring round up was helpful for you to pick some of must haves while there are quite other launches that will be featured in coming days. Let me know what’s been your favorite Spring beauty product find?
